Operation Walk Denver is entirely volunteer-led, and we rely on building meaningful relationships throughout the world to restore the joy of walking for people in need.
Our recent trip to Monterrey, Mexico, was one for the books! Our new friends at Swiss Hospital and our incredible partner, Dr. Daniel Rios Gonzalez, went above and beyond to organize a successful mission. Local doctors, nurses, surgical teams, and hospital administration coordinated an entire operating room, provided all supplies, and ensured that we were fully staffed. These generous efforts reduced our expenses and supported a comfortable, safe, and efficient experience for each patient.
We also had 14 volunteers from the states—ranging from orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists to anesthesiologists and physician assistants—whose contributions were invaluable.
