Queridos amigos y familia,
Algunos de Uds ya saben que nuestra amada enfermera y co-fundadora ha perdido a su hermana, Berenice. Pedimos oración por su familia durante este tiempo difícil.

Para los que están aquí en Baja, el velorio sería mañana, Lunes, el 28 de Octubre en la iglesia en el Descanso, El Camino de Jesucristo de las 4 en adelante.......................................................................................................

Dear Friends and family,
Many of you know that our dear nurse and co-founder, Miriam has lost her sister, Berenice. We ask for prayer for the family as they go through this difficult time.

For those of you who are here in Baja, the service will be tomorrow, Monday 10/28 at the church in Descanso, El Camino de Jesucristo starting at 4 pm and onwards.

The talented medical practitioners from not only donated their time seeing and treating diabetic patients (one of our community’s primary needs) but also refinished floors and painted!

Go where God calls. And do whatever He asks of you in service.

Flooding in Rosarito north of Siloe. Please keep all of Northern Baja in your prayers!

But the worst has passed. Like we knew He would, our Jesus had a shield of protection over La Mision.

Your prayers have worked!

Please continue to pray for the rising rivers that could wash away the homes of some of our staff if they don’t receded soon.

As of now, all safe and feeling blessed.

As of 11am PST we still haven’t see Hillary in La Mision.

We believe in the power of prayer above all and we know your prayers are working!

It looks like by the time she hits tonight, likely a direct hit, she will be a tropical storm.

Our biggest concern is flooding. They predict a years worth of rain in this one storm. The flooding could and likely will be catastrophic for the valley or families, friends and patients.

Please keep praying.

Hillary on her way and looking like a direct hit for La Mision just north of Ensenada.

Praying for our community that is so vulnerable to catastrophic weather events like this one. Siloe is thankfully strong and sound but we do expect major flooding, damage and loss of power. And even a greater medical need as this monster comes through.

Keep Baja Norte and so cal in your prayers.

15 years ago, on August 14, 2008, we opened the doors to a tiny room underneath the stairs of our village church in La Mision. We prayed we could make a difference in the communities by providing free health care and the love of Jesus. We never expected 15 years later to operate a beautiful Wellness Center, meeting the medical, dental and mental health needs of our village. Thank you for your support all these years!
