I don’t know about everyone else but I am really feeling the energies of the full moon this month. I was born on a full moon so they can be quite intense for me. Full moons are a time for releasing energies that no longer serve. A great part of creating the life we want is to let go of habits, situations or ways of thinking. Surrender and release are just as much a part of a needed part of life, as creation and manifestation. The molds and fungi that decay are just as important to the cycle of life, as the beautiful flower.
The current moon is in the sign of Leo, this can give us some guidance as to the areas of life we should be looking for release. Leo is usually associated with the sun energy, is about having strength and courage in the face of adversity. It is also associated with self love and letting our true light shine through. A great energy to let go of at this time is self doubt. I have been very guided to work on my solar plexus during meditation. The solar plexus is often referred to as the inner sun. Its health is directly proportional to us having a balanced ego, where we are not afraid to express our true self. In a world that encourages us all to wear masks, being in a place where we can express our true selves is often a cyclical journey of deeper self discovery.

So for the card reading, I have pulled 2 cards each for the energy that needs to be released, the lesson learnt and the new energies coming in. The energies to be released are the 5 wands which represent conflict and competition, this can be internal or external. Releasing yourself from being attached to a particular viewpoint or polarity, allows for new, novel and creativity to return. Remaining fixed to a certain way of being is a stuck energy. It keeps us locked in a toxic relationship with things that we say are against. The karmic trench reversed also suggests, that we no longer need to strive and force the situation to change. If we just let go and trust, we can easily slip out of the groove of our ingrained karma.
The lessons are represented by the queen of swords. She is about being clear minded, having discernment and setting boundaries. This queen is not one to hold back on speaking her truth. We can learn that by setting boundaries and speaking our truth, we can often avoid conflict. Cultivating discernment also means that we can pick what is right for us and avoid the need to be in a combative energy. Intricacies and industries reserved speaks to forcing outcomes and expecting results to happen too soon without paying attention to the details. We must have patience if we want to build something. The new energies coming are the 8 of pentacles which speaks to the joy of meaningful work or hobby. Something constructive we can channel lifeforce into and give expression to what is inside. Adsum reserved talks of the need to reconnect with our higher self and guides. I believe we each have a team helping us on the other side. They are always there to guide us, all we need to do is to set our intention towards them and they will happily be of service. All said the new energies coming look positive, engaging meaningful activities is often the best way to reconnect us with our soul. Take care folks

As we come to close of one year and beginning of other it the perfect time assess what we learnt in the last year. Releasing what no longer serves and setting our intention on what we desire to manifest in the coming 12 months. I find making rigid resolutions can often be a recipe for failure. I stead try to think for in terms of the energy set I want to be in. What situations, people and habits help me to show up in the world as my best self. This year I really want to focus on being in that flow state that magnetizes situations and people in my life.

Given the world events many people are fearful of what the future holds. Sometimes if we focus too much on what is out there, we forget to see the beauty that is in our lives. 2024 nurmerologically is an 8, which is symbolized by hope, growth, expansion, prosperity, and success.

I also pulled some cards and asked the universe what the main themes were for the collective in 2024. If you look at the 3 columns, first one is what needs to released, second the main energies and the actions to take. Plus the overall theme at the bottom. If we look at the overall themes. The card says ‘Discover Yourself Anew, look inside and rise’, I really get the sense this is theme for the year, really about getting to know ourselves better and even making peace with the parts of ourself we don’t like to much. This ties in with what we need to release, 10 swords reversed which is about let go things that don’t serve us, the scribe card suggests it maybe letting go what of this left brain study and book learning. Of course there is nothing wrong this type of learning, but needs to be balanced with more yin practices such yoga that get us into the body. There is much that can learnt that cannot be put in to words, it must be experienced. The energies we will experience next year are a mixed bag. On the one hand we have the ace of cups, which is all about us getting into our heart center and being able to give and receive more love. Winged messengers eludes to there being continued conflict on the world stage, the polarization of people may even intensify, this card also says we must look to higher self, guide us and help us rise above the outward intensity. The action or learning cards, are both page of pentacles and incresant moon are about starting practical projects or endeavors that infinite our passions. If you feel unable to connect to your passions, in is important to connect with yourself and rediscover what they are. Tuning into your body and asking what is for you is a great start. You can by muscle testing, there are many great videos YouTube showing various way to do this. Sometimes we can get so lost in people pleasing, we forget what we actually like. This was certainly me a few years back.

Honestly, don’t think this year will be all doom and gloom as some are predicting. I think it’s a year where the energies will support as all looking into our shadows and the collectives shadow, bring these parts back into the light. This can be a messy process but on the other side we can look forward rediscovering lost passions and interests. I think now is an exciting time to be alive, so much change and possibility.
