Las investigaciones muestran que perder unos 4,5 kg puede disminuir alrededor de 18 kg de carga sobre las rodillas. Esta reducción del peso que soportan las articulaciones ayuda a disminuir molestias, mejora la movilidad y actúa como medida preventiva frente al desgaste articular.
