Wow! It was an incredible experience bringing in 2026 with such an incredible group of people. This 8 day retreat was full of new guests and a few return guests. We dedicate this episode to the loving memory of Marcus
April 1974-Dec 2024.
In this deeply moving episode, we sit with Jason, a 55-year-old retiree who arrived at Eleusinia carrying a year marked by unimaginable loss. Within one year, Jason lost his mother, then his father, and shortly after, the love of his life, his husband, Marcus. When Jason concluded his Eleusinia retreat, it was on the one-year anniversary of Marcus’s death.
What unfolds is an honest reflection on grief, surrender, and the unexpected intelligence of inner healing. Jason shares how the experience gently, and at times overwhelmingly, asked him to trust and release what was arising, to soften his resistance, and to release far more grief than he thought he was capable of holding. Today in our virtual weekly Integration we spoke about the diversity in dosing cues. Here is the truth, your signs are uniquely yours.
No guide, calendar, or protocol knows your inner landscape the way you do. Recognizing when it’s time is an act of self-study, self-listening, and honest investigation. It’s noticing the shifts beneath the surface. Some of us begin to recognize old unhelpful thought patterns. Others recognize the lack of an appreciation for life. Lack of self compassion, self-esteem or falling out of rituals that we generally love. Some feel a lack of connection to self. Also, Irritability can surface more pronounced and some even notice their dreams change. It is not a one size fits all experience.
