About Dr Harneet Kaur Ranu (Consultant Dermatologist & Aesthetic Physician)
Dr Harneet Ranu is a board certified consultant dermatologist listed under the Ministry of Health and the National Specialist Register. She is an internationally recognised dermatologist with over15 years of experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr Ranu graduated from University Malaya in 2000, went on to pursue physicians training and conferred membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom MRCP(UK)in 2004. She then went on to train in dermatology at St John's Institute of Dermatology, University College London, St Thomas and Guy's Hospital, London and was awarded with a Merit in obtaining the Masters in Clinical Dermatology (Lond) in 2005 after which she worked in London at St. Margaret's Hospital.
In 2006, she joined Singapore General Hospital and received further postgraduate training at the National Skin Centre, Singapore. In 2011 Dr Ranu was conferred Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine in Dermatology. Dr Ranu has full registration as a specialist in dermatology with both the Singapore Medical Council and Specialist Accreditation Board of Singapore. 2011 - 2013 she worked as consultant dermatologist at Singapore General Hospital and the prestigious Raffles Hospital. In 2015 Dr Ranu undertook further training and work experience in Melbourne, Australia and refined her skills in dermatologic surgery and management of skin cancers. From 2016 she pursued her passion of cosmetic dermatology in Dubai where she worked at world class cosmetic hospitals.
To her advantage having trained and worked widely in the UK, Singapore, Australia and Dubai, Dr Ranu has vast experience and international exposure, making her a skillful expert in treating all skin types in people of various ethnicities. Dr Ranu is a published author whose work has been published extensively in dermatologic journals across the UK , USA and Asia. She has authored a chapter in a text book of STDs and a thesis on female pattern hair loss at Kings College London, University College London. Dr Ranu is a reputed speaker at international conferences and sits on the editorial boards of numerous international journals. Dr Ranu is an international fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD) and has a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine(USA). Dr Ranu holds two post graduate qualifications in Dermotology and Internal Medicine.
