🌬️ COPD Awareness – Let's Keep the Conversation Going 🌬️

COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) is a serious lung condition that causes chronic breathing problems, but many people are still unaware of it. COPD is the 4th leading cause of death worldwide, claiming 3.5 million lives in 2021 (WHO). It’s mostly linked to smoking, but air pollution and genetics can contribute as well.

Common symptoms include:
- Shortness of breath
- Persistent cough
- Wheezing
- Frequent respiratory infections

Early detection and lifestyle changes, like quitting smoking and avoiding pollutants, can help manage and reduce the effects of COPD.

Even though COPD Awareness Day was on November 20th, we believe the conversation is far from over! Let’s raise awareness and protect our lung health.
