Today, we had the privilege of hosting a by invitation only CME talk with GPs from the Qualitas Group, focusing on the assessment and management of common lumps and bumps encountered in general practice.
Designed to support confident clinical decision making, the session explored key clinical features, differential diagnoses and clear indications for intervention or referral across multiple specialties.
Our speakers included:
Dr. Nur Akmalrudin Nur Dzainuddin, Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon, shared insights on recognising thoracic and abdominal wall masses, followed by a hands-on suturing session.
Dr. Ho Hon Lian, Consultant Otorhinolaryngology, discussed common neck lump scenarios seen in primary care.
Dr. Ilyaas Ali Noor, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, presented on common orthopaedic conditions in the office.
Dr. Kuha Raj Arumugam, Consultant Neurosurgeon, spoke on skull lesions and key referral considerations.
Prof. Madya (K) Dr. Shahrul Nizam Ahmad Zamzali, Consultant Emergency Physician and Head of Emergency Department, highlighted red flags when a lump may require urgent attention.
More than 20 invited GPs joined us at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital for this focused knowledge sharing session. We hope the insights shared will continue to support our primary care partners in assessing, managing and referring patients with clarity and confidence.
