Our Parentcraft Class 2025 last Saturday was a heartwarming and insightful day for soon-to-be parents 💛​

From expert sessions by Dr. Paul Tay Yee Siang, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Dr. Anna Padmavathy Soosai, Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist, and Dr. Wan Aizat Wan Zakaria, Consultant Anaesthesiologist, to hands-on activities like baby bathing and swaddling, the event was filled with essential tips to prepare for parenthood.​

The day also covered the power of breastfeeding, labour preparation exercises, pain management and car seat safety for newborns. Participants enjoyed a hospital tour, lucky draw prizes and exclusive perks including a wellness-packed goodie bag.​

Yet Another Clinical Excellence Milestone at Prince Court Medical Centre!

Prince Court has successfully performed its first robotic-assisted thoracic surgery on a health traveller diagnosed with pneumothorax (collapsed lung), marking a significant advancement in our minimally invasive surgical capabilities.

The patient, who had flown in from Japan, was initially referred to Dr. Daniel K C Lee, Consultant Respiratory and Internal Medicine, for suspected bronchitis. Further investigations revealed a pneumothorax, requiring urgent surgical intervention.

He was promptly referred to Dr. George John, Consultant General and Thoracic Surgeon, who led the robotic lung procedure alongside Dr. Ghazaime Ghazali, Consultant Anaesthesiologist, and Prince Court’s expert multidisciplinary team.

The surgery leveraged the full advantages of robotic-assisted technology, including enhanced precision, 3D magnification and greater control, resulting in a successful outcome. Post-operatively, the patient reported zero pain, no air leakage and excellent lung re-expansion.

We recently sat down with Mr. Hendra Kurniawan, who first came to Prince Court from Indonesia in 2023 with hope in his heart. Today, he speaks with quiet gratitude for a healing journey that continues to inspire.

Introduced by a friend who spoke highly of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Yong Chee Khuen, Mr. Hendra never expected how far this path would take him.
