BACKGROUND OF THE CLINIC
Poliklinik Wirabakti was officially launched on the 2nd of July 2012. This clinic is owned by a private company, Poliklinik Wirabakti Sdn. Bhd (Company no: 897267A) which is a subsidiary of Wirajaya Tuah Sn. Bhd. Eventhough it was newly set up, it is well equipped with modern medical equipments.
· To provide personal, primary and continuing medical care to individual and families supported by evidence based medicine.
· To ensure proper interventions are carried out at the most appropriate time using the latest diagnostic machines and patient illness diagnostic protocols.
· To ensure initial decision is made on every problem presented and consultation with a third party is carried out appropriately.
· To coordinate and integrate all necessary services for the benefit of the patients.
· To improve the health and well-being of the local residents by providing accessible, affordable, high quality medical care on an immediate basis ffrom children to elderly patients with empathy, dedication, commitment and respect.
MANPOWER – ORGANISATION CHART
To ensure a high quality service to the patients, well trained staffs have been employed. Lead by a professional Family Medicine Specialist, the other committed staffs of the clinic are as listed below:
· 1 permanent experienced General Practice Doctor.
· 2 Occupational Health Doctors – certified by NIOSH.
· 1 certified nurse – with Diploma In Nursing.
· 1 certified dispenser-with Diploma In Pharmacy.
· 1 certified radiographer – with Diploma In Radiography.
· 2 trained supporting staffs – for administrative works.
· 2 trained audiometrists.
SERVICES PROVIDED
The services provided by the clinic are:
· Outpatient services for acute walk in cases.
· Management of chronic illnesses.
· Management of maternity cases – including antenatal & postnatal services.
· Management of childhealth cases.
· Management of occupational health related cases – including pre-employment medical check up & medical surveillance.
· Medical examinations of foreign workers.
· Vaccination services.
· Simple surgical procedures such as:
-Wound dressing.
-Wound suturing.
· Well women clinic – including family planning, pap smear & breast examination.
· Well men clinic – including erectile dysfunction management.
· Travel medicine advise.
· Quit smoking clinic
· Screening & prevention activities.
· Health promotion & education – either to individual patient in the clinic or as a group activities.

· Laboratory investigations – some tests are linked with reputable laboratories.

EQUIPMENTS & INSTRUMENTS
All the medical equipments/instruments are serviced by reputable vendors regularly to ensure the service quality is maintained. Broken/malfunctioned equipments will be identified & repaired/replaced as soon as possible.
At this moment the clinic is well equipped with :
· Ultrasound machine
· Audiometric cabin – DOSH certified.
· Emergency equipments such as intubation sets, pulse oxymeter, suction machine & intravenous drip sets.
· Fetal Heart Monitor (Daptone).
· Urinalysis machine.
· Blood glucometer.

As a general practice setting, we are fully aware of our role as a primary care provider to the local community. Primary care is a very interesting field if only one wants to experience the complexity of it. The beauty is it teaches you to treat your patient as a whole, not only the illnesses that they are suffering from. We hope that with the expertise, the knowledge, the technology & the committed manpower that we have we can give more to our patients.
