Jempol: Wanita warga emas maut dipercayai dibunuh dalam kejadian samun di rumahnya di Kampung Baru Rompin, di sini, semalam.

Ketua Polis Daerah Jempol Superintendan Noorzainy Mohd Noor berkata, polis menerima panggilan pada 5.40 petang memaklumkan Joriah Ahmad, 65, ditemui tidak sedarkan diri dan berlumuran darah.

Menurutnya, anak mangsa pulang ke rumah 5.30 petang menemui ibunya terbaring di ruang ramu dalam keadaan kepala berdarah lalu memaklumkan kepada jiran.

"Pemeriksaan pegawai perubatan mengesahkan mangsa sudah meninggal dunia akibat kecederaan di kepala.

"Siasatan lanjut di lokasi juga mendapati telefon bimbit dan televisyen milik mangsa hilang disyaki disamun suspek," katanya ketika dihubungi, hari ini.

Beliau berkata, mayat mangsa dihantar ke Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar (HTJ) Seremban untuk bedah siasat dan siasatan masih diteruskan.
