 β’ A contagious viral infection that affects the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs.
 β’ Caused by influenza viruses (mainly types A and B).
 β’ Spreads through droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks.
π€ Common Symptoms:
 β’ Sudden high fever
 β’ Cough and sore throat
 β’ Runny or stuffy nose
 β’ Headache and muscle aches
 β’ Fatigue and weakness
 β’ Sometimes vomiting or diarrhea (more common in children)
π When to Take the Influenza Vaccine:
 β’ Once a year β the vaccine is updated yearly to match new virus strains.
 β’ Best to get vaccinated before the flu season starts (usually before the rainy or colder months).
 β’ Recommended for everyone 6 months and older, especially:
 β’ Elderly individuals
 β’ Children
 β’ Pregnant women
 β’ People with chronic illnesses (e.g., asthma, diabetes, heart disease)
 β’ Healthcare workers
