Stairs often reveal how your knees are coping.

Many people only notice their knees when going up or down stairs.
They feel pressure, discomfort, or sometimes hesitation during stepping movements.
Often, this is related to how the knee handles repeated loads during bending and straightening.
It is not always about damage, but how the joint is coping with daily stress over time.

上下楼梯,最容易反映膝盖的状态。

很多人通常是在上下楼梯时才开始注意到膝盖的状态。
在上下楼梯的时候,可能会感觉到不舒服,甚至有点不敢用力。
这往往和膝盖在反复弯曲与伸直时如何承受压力有关。
这不一定代表有损伤,而是关节对日常压力的适应能力出现变化。

Small changes in sitting load can improve back tolerance

A patient came in with lower back tightness after long office hours.
He said pain improves when resting, but returns when sitting again.
We noticed his body was very sensitive to prolonged sitting load.
So we started with short sitting intervals and simple movement breaks.
Over time, his tolerance to sitting improved gradually without flare ups.

调整久坐时间,有助于改善下背的耐受能力。

一位上班族在长时间工作后出现下背紧绷。
他表示休息时会缓解,但一坐下来又会不舒服。
评估后发现,他对久坐的负荷较为敏感。
因此我们先从缩短坐姿时间,并加入简单的活动休息开始调整。
随着时间推移,他对坐姿的耐受度逐渐提升,也较少再出现不适。

Different positions create different spinal loads

Did you know your spine experiences different pressure depending on position?
When you sit, the pressure inside the lower back disc is usually higher compared to standing.
This is why some people feel more discomfort when sitting for long periods.
It is not that sitting is bad, but staying in one position for too long increases the load on certain structures.

不同姿势会带来不同的脊椎负荷。

你知道吗,脊椎在不同姿势下承受的压力是不同的。
在坐姿时,下背椎间盘所承受的负荷通常会比站立时更高。
这也是为什么有些人久坐后会更容易感到不适。
并不是坐姿本身不好,而是长时间维持同一个姿势,会让部分结构承受更多压力。

Rehab is about rebuilding tolerance, not finding one perfect exercise

When we look at lower back recovery, it is not about doing one perfect exercise.
It is about gradually helping your body tolerate more load again.
For example, starting with short sitting, then longer sitting, then standing.
Your back learns through gradual exposure, not sudden change.
This is how we rebuild confidence in movement step by step.

复健的重点在于恢复耐受能力,而不是寻找一个完美动作。

在后背恢复的过程中,并不是依靠某一个“完美动作”。
更重要的是让身体逐步重新适应不同的负荷。
可以从短时间坐着开始,再慢慢延长时间。
身体是通过逐步适应来恢复,而不是突然改变。
这样可以一步一步建立对动作的信心。

Rest is not always the best answer for back pain

Many people think that back pain means you must rest completely.
So they avoid movement for days or even weeks.
In most common back pain cases, too much rest can actually slow recovery.
Gentle and guided movement usually helps the body calm down faster.
The key is not to push hard, but to keep safe and controlled movement.

背痛时,完全休息不一定是最好的方式。

很多人觉得只要背痛,就应该完全休息。
会避免活动好几天,甚至更久。
在常见的背痛情况中,过多休息有时反而会让恢复变慢。
适度、经过引导的活动,通常更有助于身体逐渐恢复。
重点不在于用力,而是在安全和可控制的范围内活动。

Long sitting is not just about posture, it is about how long your body stays still.

A lot of people feel their lower back gets tight after sitting for a long time.
They usually think it is just posture problem.
But from a physiotherapy view, it is more about how long your back stays in one position without change.
Your spine is designed to move and adapt, not stay still for hours.
When you sit too long, certain tissues get more sensitive and stiff over time.

久坐不只是姿势问题,更是身体长时间静止的问题。

很多人坐久了会觉得下背很紧。
通常会以为只是姿势问题。
但在物理治疗角度来看,更关键是身体长时间没有变化。
脊椎其实是需要不断活动和适应的结构,不是一直固定不动的。
当你坐太久,一些组织会慢慢变得紧张和敏感。
