🩺 外科医生只是“开刀”吗？
其实不只是这样。

最近发现有些病人对外科医生的工作存在误解，认为外科医生的职责只是动手术。事实上，我们的工作内容远远不止如此。

作为外科医生，我的日常工作包括：

🔹 诊断病情，并在治疗后持续跟进病人的康复情况
🔹 进行胃镜（OGDS）及大肠镜检查，可用于诊断或治疗，尤其适用于腹痛、腹泻、便秘、便血、腹胀或食欲不振的病人
🔹 在可行的情况下，优先采用非侵入性治疗方式，如药物治疗
🔹 手术治疗，包括：
• 微创手术（胆结石、阑尾炎、疝气等）
• 肿瘤手术（乳腺癌、结肠癌、甲状腺癌）
• 紧急手术
• 肿块切除
• 脓肿引流
• 痔疮的激光或传统手术治疗

✨ 总结来说，外科医生不仅是“动刀的人”，更是安抚病人、治疗疾病的守护者。

🩺 Do surgeons only “cut”?
Not really 😊

Recently, I’ve noticed that some patients are a little confused about the role of a surgeon. Many think that surgeons only perform operations — but our work goes far beyond that.

As a surgeon, my daily practice includes:

🔹 Diagnosing patients’ conditions and providing follow-up care after treatment
🔹 Performing OGD and colonoscopy (diagnostic or therapeutic), especially for symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, re**al bleeding, bloating, or loss of appetite
🔹 Treating conditions with non-invasive methods like medication whenever possible
🔹 Surgery, including:
• Minimally invasive surgery (gallbladder stones, appendicitis, hernia, etc.)
• Cancer surgery (breast, colon, thyroid)
• Emergency surgery
• Removal of lumps and bumps
• Abscess drainage
• Laser or conventional surgery for haemorrhoids

How do you prevent colon cancer?
A woman recently came to see me for a routine check-up. She felt completely fine and had no symptoms, but we decided to do a colonoscopy as part of her screening. During the procedure, we found a small polyp in her colon and removed it right away.
Later, the lab results showed that the polyp actually contained early-stage colon cancer. Thankfully, because we caught it early, the cancer was completely removed during the colonoscopy. She didn’t need any further surgery and is now completely cancer-free.
This is a great example of why colonoscopy is so important. It’s a safe and effective way to:
• Detect colon cancer early
• Prevent cancer by removing polyps before they turn into cancer
• Treat early-stage colon cancer without major surgery
We recommend that everyone aged 45 and above consider getting a screening colonoscopy — even if you feel healthy and have no symptoms. Early detection can save lives.

如何预防大肠癌？
最近有一位女士来找我做健康检查。她感觉很好，没有任何症状，但我们还是为她安排了一次结肠镜检查作为常规筛查的一部分。
在检查过程中，我们发现她的结肠内有一个小息肉，并当场将它完整地切除。几天后，化验报告显示这个息肉里竟然已经有早期的大肠癌。幸运的是，因为发现得早，我们在结肠镜检查中就已经把癌细胞完全清除。她现在已经康复，不需要再做其他手术。
这个案例说明了结肠镜检查的重要性。它是一种安全、有效的检查方式，可以：
• 早期发现大肠癌
• 通过切除息肉来预防癌症发生
• 治疗早期大肠癌，避免开刀手术
我们建议所有 45岁及以上的人，即使没有任何症状，也应定期做结肠镜筛查。早发现，早治疗，能救命！
