USAINS Holding Sdn Bhd (USAINS) formed in 1998, is the corporate arm of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). It is tasked with developing income-generating businesses associated with the skills readily available within USM. USAINS manages USM’s extensive assets – which include properties, projects, programs and enterprises – either directly or indirectly through key subsidiaries, to make a positive contribution to USM and its wider community. A wholly-owned USM company, USAINS key focus is now to engage with industry and bring additional and incremental income to USM as part of its drive to have improved financial independence.

The USAINS’ core strategy is engineered to meet its Vision, Mission and Objectives. Each operating business unit of the USAINS Group of Companies is empowered to utilize the core competencies of the USM community and to market and engage with private industry and government agencies, always applying fair value propositions. The strategy is defined and driven through established Business Plans.
