Dear Parents,

With a heart full of gratitude, I would like to inform you that Emmanuel Fun Corner will be discontinued starting this year.

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who has participated in the activities and trips over the past two years. Your presence, energy, and enthusiasm made every meeting and outing special. Seeing families bond, laugh, and create memories together has been the greatest reward for me.

Although Emmanuel Fun Corner is coming to an end, the spirit of family bonding and parent-child activities continues! If you are looking for engaging and meaningful activities for you and your children, I invite you to join the Bintulu Storytelling Parent Community WhatsApp group (comment pm for link). This community offers exciting Family Storytelling events, and by being a part of it, you'll receive first-hand updates on upcoming events and activities.

Thank you once again for being part of the Emmanuel Fun Corner family. I hope to see you at future events, continuing the journey of learning, growing, and storytelling together!

Had a blast at our Family Storytelling event today! ✨

Big THANK YOU to the 13 families who joined us this afternoon!

Both children and parents are enthralled by two fun, captivating and heartwarming stories by Aunty Nelly and Aunty Belinda, making the event so memorable. After the storytelling session, each child got creative and made their own unique "hugful" animal to remind all family members to give a BIG, TALL and COMFY HUG to each other every day! ❤️

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our venue sponsor, Boulevard Shopping Mall Bintulu , for providing such a spacious area for our event. Your support made this wonderful and meaningful event possible!

A special shoutout to 方舟书房 The Ark Reading Room for bringing so many wonderful children books and parenting / family related books at the book fair. We all strive to keep the love for reading alive!

We had an amazing time at our recent Family Fun Day, where nine wonderful families came together for an afternoon filled with laughter, creativity, and heartwarming moments.

The atmosphere was buzzing with joy and camaraderie as families bonded over ice breaking game, story and shared the joy of making crafts together. It was truly a delightful experience, and we are so grateful to everyone who joined us and made it such a special day! 💖

Last field trip of our food theme!

In addition to rice, noodles have long been a staple food in Asian cuisine and a primary source of carbohydrates. It's undeniable that most kids love noodles! Today, we had the privilege of visiting a factory that produces various types of noodles, such as kampua, kueh teow, and yellow noodles. This factory is the oldest, time-honored brand in Bintulu and has recently launched a new brand called Snoodle , derived from Sarawak + Noodle.

Our visit began with video clips showcasing the company's mission, history, and the five steps of noodle production. We were then divided into two teams. Team A was guided by the owner, Mr. Chris, on a tour around the factory, where we observed the process of making yellow noodles. Meanwhile, Team B learned to make wantan, which we all later took home. Afterward, the two teams switched activities.

Lastly, we had a Question and Answer session, with children eagerly participating to answer questions posed by the manager, Mr. Steve. Those who answered correctly were rewarded with a lollipop. Everyone was enthusiastic and eager to participate!

Overall, it was an educational field trip where we all gained insights into the noodle-making process. We are truly grateful for the warm welcome extended to us by the factory.

We had an amazing time at Lau's Bee Farm on Tuesday, where we were graciously guided by Mr. and Mrs. Lau, the dedicated owners of the bee farm.

During our visit, we marveled at the bustling hives where bees diligently stored honey and had the opportunity to sample honey from various hives. Each honey had its own distinct flavor profile - some were sweet, some sweet with a hint of tartness, and others had robust and intense flavors. It was truly fascinating to learn that different species of bees produce honey with unique tastes, despite collecting nectar from the same flowers! Surrounding the farm, we noticed an abundance of fruits and vegetables, showcasing the vital role of bees in pollination and food production.

Mrs. Lau also enlightened us about the numerous health benefits of honey, including its ability to alleviate coughs, reduce inflammation, and soothe mosquito bites.

To conclude our visit, Mr. Lau demonstrated the honey extraction process using a simple machine. We eagerly gathered around to witness this fascinating process and then indulged in tasting the freshly extracted natural honey together. Needless to say, it was an unforgettable experience, and the honey was absolutely delicious!

This morning, our group of wide-eyed young adventurers embarked on a journey of discovery to unravel the mysteries of plant growth and witness the magic of nature firsthand!

Before we began our exploration, children predicted "what grows where?" and recorded in their booklet and then we gathered in a circle to share our predictions.

With our predictions in mind, we ventured into the garden, guided by our enthusiastic host, introduced more than 20 different kinds of vegetables and fruits grown in the garden. Some predictions came true and some not but glad that we all have seen the plants with our own eyes!

Excitement grew when children get to see earthworms wriggling in the soil and also being able to plant seeds and take it home to take care of.

We went home with our hearts brimming with newfound knowledge and appreciation and hands full of vegetables from the garden owner ❤️

A day filled with laughter, learning, and hands-on experiences that brought the wonders of food to life!

We began by sharing the foods we know and the foods we enjoy eating. It's not surprising to know that most of the kids love sweet stuffs 😆 But we had a simple yet experiment, illustrating how sugar absorbs so quickly and rushes into our bloodstream which is often referred as a sugar rush.

Lastly, we embarked on an interesting (yet a bit gross) experiment that creatively simulated the intricate process of digestion.
