Meru Medical Clinic was privileged to receive a courtesy visit from representatives of the Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF), Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC), and members of Teratak Kasih Tok Nan, Bintulu for a recent meet-and-greet session at our clinic.
As part of our continuous commitment towards preventive healthcare and public health advocacy, particularly in the prevention of HIV transmission and the promotion of community awareness, the session provided an insightful platform for meaningful dialogue and knowledge sharing.
The discussion, conducted in a positive and engaging atmosphere, touched on current community health concerns, the importance of early intervention, access to screening and treatment, as well as the ongoing need to address stigma surrounding HIV.
Opportunities for future collaboration in enhancing community outreach, strengthening health education initiatives, and supporting vulnerable groups were also explored.
Special emphasis was placed on understanding the healthcare needs, social support, and safe access to medical services required by the LGBTQ community as part of a broader effort to ensure that healthcare remains inclusive, respectful, and accessible to all.
Meru Medical Clinic values such engagements as an essential step in building stronger partnerships that contribute towards a healthier, better informed, and more compassionate society.
