๐ฉบ Foreign Body in Esophagus
Last Saturday, I treated an 8-year-old child ๐ฆ with a coin stuck in the esophagus.
Children are naturally curious and often put objects in their mouths. Swallowing coins, batteries, magnets, or small toy parts is common and dangerous in children.
A foreign body in the esophagus is a medical emergency ๐จ. A foreign body stuck in the esophagus can lead to pain, infection, perforation, or breathing problems if not treated in time.
Thankfully, the coin was removed safely ๐.
