Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) adalah jangkitan saluran pernafasan yang disebabkan oleh virus dari keluarga Pneumoviridae.

Jangkitan hMPV bukanlah penyakit baharu dan tidak diwajibkan untuk dinotifikasi di bawah Akta 342.

Gejala penyakit ini seperti batuk, sakit tekak, demam, selesema, dan sakit kepala adalah sama dengan gejala penyakit jangkitan saluran pernafasan yang lain.

Untuk mencegah jangkitan, amalkan langkah-langkah seperti kerap mencuci tangan, menutup mulut dan hidung semasa batuk atau bersin, serta memakai pelitup muka, terutama di tempat sesak atau jika bergejala.

Dengan meningkatkan kesedaran dan mengamalkan langkah pencegahan, kita dapat bersama-sama mencegah penyebaran jangkitan penyakit saluran pernafasan, termasuk hMPV.

Sentiasa menjaga kebersihan dan kesihatan untuk kesejahteraan semua.
