Pacific is proud to invite Ms. Elaine to share her heartfelt and inspiring journey of raising her son, Ethan, who was diagnosed with Autism at an early age. Her talk, scheduled for tomorrow at 8:00 PM, promises to offer valuable insights, hope, and encouragement for all parents walking a similar path.

Ethan, now 17, has come a long way since his diagnosis. He successfully completed his IGCSE and is currently a thriving YouTuber with over 100,000 followers—a testament to the power of perseverance, support, and discovering one's unique strengths.

Elaine, an ex-Singapore NUS Engineering scholar, made a life-changing decision when Ethan was diagnosed. Leaving behind her engineering career, she became a teacher in an international school, driven by a desire to better support Ethan’s education and development. Along this journey, she not only found a deeper connection with her son but also discovered her passion for teaching.

A dedicated and resourceful mother, Elaine explored a wide range of therapies to support Ethan—from evidence-based approaches like ABA and Speech Therapy to alternative methods such as the Gluten-Free Casein-Free (GFCF) diet. She even engaged a shadow teacher to assist Ethan during his early school years, ensuring he had the best possible environment to grow and thrive.

Through her unwavering support and love, Elaine helped Ethan discover his passion and talent in content creation—turning challenges into opportunities and nurturing his self-confidence every step of the way.

(1) Readiness & Writing
Learn developmental sequences for teaching readiness and writing skills, multi-sensory strategies, and effective techniques for grip, fine motor, and coloring skills.

(2) Print & Cursive
Discover explicit handwriting instruction steps for teaching or remediating cursive skills, including letter formation and cursive connections.

These 2 workshops are prerequisites for attending the Handwriting Assessment session, a key step towards earning the Handwriting Specialist certification from Learning Without Tears® in the United States.
