Tanggal 12 Mei setiap tahun merupakan sambutan Hari Jururawat sedunia. Sesungguhnya tugas dan tanggungjawab seorang jururawat adalah sangat besar dalam memberikan perkhidmatan dan rawatan kepada pesakit.

Tema tahun ini, “caring for nurses strengthens economies”, mengingatkan kita bahawa kebajikan dan sokongan kepada jururawat bukan sahaja penting untuk sistem kesihatan yang mampan, tetapi juga memainkan peranan utama dalam pertumbuhan dan kestabilan ekonomi negara. Jururawat adalah tulang belakang sektor kesihatan – mereka menjaga yang sakit, memberi semangat kepada yang lemah, dan sentiasa hadir dalam detik paling mencabar.

Penghargaan dan pengiktirafan wajar diberi kepada semua jururawat di seluruh negara, atas komitmen dan dedikasi mereka dalam memberikan perkhidmatan perawatan kesihatan yang berterusan tetapi juga menghargai impak ekonomi yang signifikan dari perkhidmatan sistem kesihatan yang teguh dengan perlindungan kesihatan sejagat.

Terima kasih kepada semua jururawat atas pengorbanan dan kesetiaan mereka. Semua jururawat adalah aset yang sangat berharga kepada masyarakat Malaysia.
