Too old for braces ?
No, there is basically no age limit for orthodontic treatment. As long as your teeth , gums & jawbone are healthy, you can straighten your teeth at any age. However, the process may take slightly longer time due to mature bone density.

One of the most common questions from parents is
'When should my child see an orthodontist? '
According to American Association of Orthodontists, a child should have an orthodontic evaluation by age seven to catch dental problems early.
Early intervention in orthodontics means treatment is carried out before all deciduous ( milk ) teeth are gone.
There are several benefits of early intervention:
1. Improve esthetics & function
2. Facilitates cleaning
3. Boost child self-confidence
4. Guide jaw growth
5. Prevent more complex dental issues later, eg avoiding jaw surgery in future etc.

Braces ( orthodontic treatment)are primarily used to address crooked, crowded, or protruding teeth, close gaps, and correct bite issues, improve oral hygiene and enhance overall facial & smile esthetics.
A straighter , more aligned smile can significantly boost self confidence! 😊
Here is an example: this case was successfully treated at the best age & completed within 2 years.
Note: though there is no age limit for getting braces, the optimal treatment time for children is between 10-14 years old and, when jaws and facial bones are actively developing.
