Warts are caused by human papilloma virus infection. Warts are small, usually round, lumps of thickened skin about 1 mm to 1 cm across. They most often appear on your hands and feet but can develop anywhere on your body. Most have a bumpy surface and feel rough, but some are smooth. You may get 1 or 2 warts, or several warts may develop at the same time in the same place.

Treatment:
Warts usually go away on their own in 2 to 3 years without causing any other problems. Treating your wart may get rid of it sooner, but it will probably still take many weeks for it to go. If you decide to treat your wart , be aware that the treatment can irritate your skin. If the skin around your wart becomes sore or red and itchy, stop treating it for a few days.

Use salicylic acid paint, gel or ointment to treat warts. Ask your pharmacist whether salicylic acid treatment is suitable for you.
Don’t put salicylic acid on:
• your face, on your bottom, your ge***al area or in areas where skin touches skin, for example, under your arms or breasts.
• moles or birthmarks, on warts with hair growing out of them, on wounds or skin that doesn’t heal well, or on red or sore skin.
• areas with a lot of warts .

What else can help?

Stop warts spreading to other areas of your skin:
• don’t pick or scratch your wart
• don’t bite or suck fingers that have warts
• change your socks or tights every day

Can I give warts to other people?

Yes, the virus causing warts can be passed on to other people if they have close contact with your wart, but warts don’t spread easily. There is no need for you to avoid swimming or other sports. You are less likely to pass on warts to other people if you:
• cover your wart or verruca with a waterproof plaster when you go swimming
• wear flip-flops in public showers
• don’t share shoes, socks and towels.

"Did you ever feel numbness, tingling, pain, or weakness in your hands or feet?. It's usually happened in diabetic patient that caused by nerve impairment known as diabetic neuropathy.

Psoriasis, a chronic autoimmune skin condition, unfolds as an abnormal, rapid growth of the epidermal skin layer, triggering inflammation. 🤔 The immune system misfires, mistaking its own skin cells for invaders and launching an attack. Skin cells are replaced at an accelerated rate, resulting in premature maturation of keratinocytes (primary epidermal cells), creating scales and shedding on the skin's surface.

📊 PSORIASIS STATISTICS:

Prevalence: 1-4% worldwide (1% in Malaysia)
New cases: 2-6% of new dermatology clinic attendees
16k patients registered with Malaysian Psoriasis Registry up to 2016
🔍 SIGNS & SYMPTOMS OF PSORIASIS:

Red patches covered with silvery scales (plaques)
Scaling spots (common in children)
