Empowered Malaysia

Empowered Malaysia We are the Cancer Advocacy Society of Malaysia. Save lives. Prevent cancer. Serve the poor. Cancer patients live in fear, in anger, in pain.

EMPOWERED TO HELP THE POOR

EMPOWERED - The Cancer Advocacy Society of Malaysia (Persatuan Advokasi Kanser Malaysia) is a non-profit tax-exempt* organization registered as a society. They do not understand why this is happening. Medical terms are frustrating and everyone has a word of advice, an opinion. With poor patients, their situations are much worse. They cannot afford the anti-cancer tests and treatments, the extra money to get to the hospital. They can’t afford to stop working. They need hope and comforting. This is how EMPOWERED was formed, primarily to help and assure the poor that cancer is NOT A DEATH SENTENCE. Our programs are customised and targeted to help the communities that are less fortunate. Every year we aim to provide free tests and treatments for them so that they have a better chance at living life to the fullest. You can help us help them. Contact us if you have a passion and a heart for our fellow communities.

Colorectal cancer refers to cancer of the colon or re**um, and it is more common in men than in women. According to a study published in the World Journal of Gastroenterology in 2015, women have a higher risk of acquiring right-sided colon cancer (the more aggressive variety) than men. Another problem with diagnosing colorectal cancer in women, or more precisely colon cancer, is that the symptoms are identical to menstrual symptoms. Some of the signs of colon cancer can be mistaken for menstrual symptoms.

The following are the three main symptoms of bowel cancer:

⚠️ blood in your p**p - this might happen for no apparent reason or be linked to a change in bowel habits.

⚠️ a long-term change in your bowel habits, such as having to p**p more frequently and your p**p becoming runnier.

⚠️ chronic lower abdomen (tummy) pain, bloating, or discomfort – which is always brought on by eating and can be linked to a loss of appetite or considerable unintended weight loss.

Researchers found that people who ate at least one apple a day were a third less likely to get colon cancer than those who did not. The fruit's fiber & flavonoids may help protect the lining of the intestines & keep the cells healthy. (From WebMd)
