Tiba² rasa mcm nak share story aku berkaitan takaful. 😄😄
Tahun lepas pd 27/5/2021 (Khamis), terjadi salah satu drpd sejarah hitam dlm my career sebagai engineer in project management. Incident ni terjadi under my care n my supervision. Kes nie jadi dekat one of my site in Sentul.
Kesnya ialah battery UPS exploded n flashover masa kitorang dlm fasa UPS testing n commissioning. Impak drpd flashover nie, salah sorang drpd teammates aku (aku namakan dia A), dua2 tangan dia tbakar n melecur pd tahap 3rd n 4th degree burn. Maksudnya apa? Kulit tgn dia dh melepuh n no more lapisan kulit. Thanked for my team, immediate action n emergency response given, dpt minimized the impact of incident.
Masa kitorang dh bwk dia keluar drpd underground, A request bwk dia ke salah satu drpd one of privilage Medical Centre dekat KL. Medical Centre nie tak la jauh drpd site, dlm 6.8km ja. Tp padahal hospital government lg dekat dgn site compared to this medical centre tp kitorang just folo kehendak A without argument.
Bila sampai dekat emergency department, kaunter mintak information berkenaan Medical Card. Guess what? Dlm wallet A beberapa medical card drpd different service provider. A choosed one of MC, n proses hospitalization berjalan lancar termasuk A kena byr kos Covid Test RM1000 sblum warded. Mgkin ada yg akan tnya, knp tak pakai medical card company. Yes, kitorang mmg ada. Tapi A insist nk pakai medical card sndiri n actually medical card company cant afford pun total expenses of hospitalization.
Fast forward….A pun dh lega sikit drpd incident tu tapi tgn dia still kena undergo post-hospitalization tmasuk physio n pakai hand guard selama 2 tahun. La nie pun dia dah masuk keja balik n aku pun dh resign drpd company lama.
Kenapa aku relate incident nie dgn part of perjalanan takaful aku?
1. Aku hrp aku dpt tlg org yg satu bidang dgn aku, n akan wajibkan diri depa utk ambik takaful kalau bkemampuan. Bidang kita nie bidang yg critical n full of hazards.
2. Takaful ataupun medical card boleh cover kos rawatan pre-hospitalization, hospitalization n post-hospitalization. Tp make sure ampa paham and paksa agent2 ampa utk be transparent dr segi coverage n so on.
3. Keselesaan dr segi rawatan n warded. Fyi, A semasa underwent treatment, mental dia agak rapuh. Jadi dr segi sokongan org sekeliling, suasana rawatan n prasarana hospital b*k membantu dia utk got a speed recovery.
4. Cuma my advise, pd yg berkemampuan dr segi kewangan, lets help our medical institution. Pi la carum mana2 company takaful n pergi ambik rawatan dekat swasta. Biar hospital kerajaan be less crowded. Secara tak langsung, kita dpt tlg org yg kurang berkemampuan utk dptkan rawatan dgn lg cepat dekat hospital kerajaan. Kakitangan hospital kerajaan jgk akan kurang terbeban dgn tugas n kekurangan manpower, n of course, akhirnya dpt tingkatkan effiency dr segi services kpd rakyat marhaen.
5. Yes, tak dinafikan ada pro and con dlm industri takaful. Tp percaya ckp aku, when come at the right time n the right place, this industry will provide u one of the solution for better life.
