30cm large atypical lipomatous tumour (ALT) of the thigh.
ALT has signifantly higher risk of local recurrence compared to a simple lipoma. The fact that it has grown to such size shows that it has growth potential and need to be excised conpletely. We must achieve complete resection to ensure it does not grow back.
