3 major reasons why vaccinated but still infected with Covid-19.
1) Vaccine is not 100% effective, and every vaccinator produces different level of immune response. Eg: Young and strong individual vs older individual, having medical problems or impaired immune systems may not have that strong immune responses. Vaccine is highly effective, but some people are still vulnerable to the virus after being vaccinated.
2) The risk of death from new coronary pneumonia will increase significantly with age. For example, if a certain vaccine can reduce the risk of death of an 80-year-old man from the disease by 95%, the risk of death for this elderly man may still be higher than that of a 20-year-old who has not been vaccinated. Chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and lung disease are also related to the increased risk of severe illness and death from Covid-19.
3) As more and more people are vaccinated, fewer unvaccinated people can be infected by the new coronavirus. If there are more people who have been vaccinated than those who have not been vaccinated, and the elderly who have been vaccinated may still be infected, the number of people who have been vaccinated but died of the disease may be equal to, or even higher than, the young people who have not been vaccinated, because the vaccinated people have already Far more than those who have not been vaccinated. Imagine that if all citizens of a country have been vaccinated, but the virus can still spread, then all the people who have died from the disease will come from the vaccinated group.
