🏥 This dedicated multidisciplinary centre focuses on preserving patients’ limbs and quality of life through early diagnosis, advanced vascular care, minimally invasive treatments, and coordinated wound management.

Another contribution to prevention of leg amputations on the global stage, from our Diabetic Limb Salvage Centre at Northern Heart Hospital Penang! 🌍🩺

Today, during the Malaysia session at the MATCH 2025 Online Conference, our Consultant Vascular Surgeon, NHH Assoc Prof Dr. Edward Choke Tieng Chek led the live case transmission focusing on endovascular treatment for PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease) and CLTI (Critical Limb-Threatening Ischemia). Jetstream atherectomy with NAV6 Embolic Protection device was used, followed by drug eluting stent and drug coated balloons.

Following the procedure, Dr. Choke also presented his review on the use of drug-coated balloon (DCB) for CLTI. 💡

We appreciate this opportunity to showcase our advanced care and to contribute our expertise to the global dialogue on managing complex vascular cases. 🙏
