Big news!!🎉
The Passion Hub will be organizing
Neuro Affirming Practice through the SPELL Framework – 2-Day Licensed Spell User Certification Workshop
for the very 1st time in Penang!
🧩 Why the SPELL Framework?
SPELL (Structure, Positive Approaches, Empathy, Low Arousal, Links) is a compassionate, evidence-based approach developed by the UK National Autistic Society, accredited by the Tizard Centre at the University of Kent*, and licensed by AT-Autism to support autistic individuals.
This first-ever SPELL workshop in Penang offers practical tools for parents, educators, psychologists, therapists, medical professionals, doctors, and volunteers to create calm, structured environments, reduce distress, and build trusting relationships. It promotes understanding autistic profile based on the latest researches and supports autistic individuals by fostering intrinsic motivation in learning, rather than relying on external rewards or forced compliance.
The SPELL approach helps prevent social masking -where autistic individuals suppress their true needs to fit in—which can lead to burnout, mental health issues, and challenges developing authentic and positive self identity, as well as disconnection from their interoceptive and sensory needs.
