Family Therapy Workshop - Penang 2025

As practitioners in the counseling field supporting families and children, it’s our responsibility to keep learning and strengthening our clinical skills.

We attended a Family Therapy Workshop today and gained valuable insights from the facilitators, Mr. David Hong and Dr. Lai. The live family session was especially impactful, offering a clear view of how therapeutic techniques are applied in real time. Grateful for the meaningful guidance and practical learning experience.

最近马来西亚校园频频传出事故，
霸凌、性侵、刺杀极端暴力事件……
社交媒体上，家长群都炸开了。
大家都在问：
“现在的学校还安全吗？”
“孩子都不敢去上学了怎么办？”

我懂那份焦虑。
身为心理辅导师，我也一样心疼、也一样担心。
但我更想温柔地提醒——
❤️‍🩹不要因为极端事件而恐慌，
而忘了教育真正该做的。
不是保护孩子一辈子不受伤，
而是教他们——当风雨来了，如何面对。

昨天我和同事聊起这些事件。
我问他：
“我们一直在教孩子品格、责任，
可看回这些新闻，
是不是代表品格、责任还不够，我们做的还不够？
是不是该再多做些什么，才能让孩子更安全？”

他淡淡地回答：
“为什么要让极端事件影响你的判断？
就像开车，我们可以很小心——
不打手机、不酒驾、避开深夜时段。
可车祸的风险永远不会是零。”

💡🌟
我们不能因为有车祸，就不再上路。
同样，也不能因为校园事故，
就让孩子远离学习、社交与成长。

恐惧（情绪）可以理解，但不能主导选择。

身为家长，如果你也有同样的焦虑：
“孩子害怕去学校，我也不忍心逼，我也害怕悲剧发生在自己孩子身上...”
这份爱和焦虑，我理解。
但我们能做的，
不是让孩子逃避恐惧，
而是陪他们学会管理情绪。

孩子可以害怕、可以焦虑，
但要让孩子知道——
💥情绪不是方向盘，责任才是。

我们可以这样告诉孩子：
“你害怕没关系。
但你还是要学习、面对朋友、完成该做的事。
因为学习是你的责任；
而负责，是你未来的力量。”

这，才是真正的品格教育。
不是让孩子“没有情绪”，
而是教他们带着情绪，也能做对的选择。

🔥每一次社会事件，
其实都是一堂“情绪教育的现场课”。
它提醒我们：
我们不能控制世界，
但能培养孩子面对世界的能力。

📌 写给每一位担心的家长：
别让恐惧，决定教育的方向。
要教的，不是“别害怕”，
而是——
即使害怕，也要勇敢去做对的事。

昨天的校园悲剧，让无数人心痛。
社会在问：
孩子怎么了？
心理教育不够吗？
品格教育失败了吗？

但我更想问：
当悲剧还没发生时，
我们这些大人、父母、教育者，
都在做什么？

我是一名注册心理辅导师，
在这个领域十年了，
也一直在教孩子品格教育。

我一直深信——
品格，是孩子一生的根。

可是现实里，我常常听见：
“老师，你的课能不能有趣一点？”
“孩子觉得无聊，不喜欢上课。”
“可以准备些奖励，让他们更有动力吗？”

什么时候，
教育变成了一场“取悦”的过程？
什么时候，“让孩子开心”，成了比“让孩子成长”更重要的目标？

我们总说，要教孩子品格。
可在实践时，
却常常把“乖”误当成“有品格”。
孩子会说谢谢、会道歉、不顶嘴、懂感恩——
好像就代表他们“有品格”了。

但真正的品格，
不是听话，而是——
在没人看见时，也能做对的选择。

品格教育，
不是让孩子学会“取悦大人”，
而是帮助他们认识自己、管理情绪、承担责任。
它不一定好玩，
有时甚至让人不舒服、痛苦、想逃避。
但成长就是这样，
不舒服，才是真正的养分。

悲剧从来不是一夜之间发生的。
它是我们在「孩子开心就好」的文化里，
慢慢忽略了：
🌟品格的根，需要被扎得深。

所以，当我们叹息“现在的孩子怎么了？”
也请我们大人勇敢地问：我们大人，到底怎么了？

教育的终点，不是快乐，而是成长。
让孩子喜欢上课固然重要，
但让他们学会成为“有力量的人”，
才是我们真正的使命。

📌 写给每一个关心孩子的大人。
别再急着让他们开心，
先教他们，怎样成为一个会思考和坚韧的人。
💥不是不可以注重孩子的开心，
更不是说爱的教育是错的，
只是，don't be extreme!!
不要极端到只注重开心最重要！

We had an amazing session with Form 4 & Form 5 students, and their parents 💙 on “What’s Next After SPM.” It was great hearing students and parents share their thoughts — those little interactions really made the session fun and meaningful 🙌

We talked about whether interest + strengths are enough when choosing a college major, or if there’s more to think about. Plus, we shared tips on how to succeed in today’s AI-driven world.

We hope everyone walked away with fresh insights and more confidence in planning your next step after SPM. 🚀

常常把这三者统一成为“心理医生”，
我在工作上也常常被来访者称为医生😅

🤔 心理辅导师不是跟心理医生一样吗？照理不是应该归属KKM吗？
今天就来帮大家科普一下～

真相来啦——
🧑‍⚕️ 精神科医生负责“治病”
🧑‍🔬 临床心理学家负责“测试与治疗”
🧑‍🏫 心理辅导师的使命是“陪伴、预防、支持”，关注家庭、社会和心理韧性 🌱

所以：
🌟心理辅导师归属KPWKM，才能真正走进社区，更贴近生活，守护更多人的心理健康 💖。
🌟不归属KKM不专注医疗治疗并不代表心理辅导师比较low class，那只是专注点和工作性质不一样。
🌟无论是精神科医生、临床心理治疗师或心理辅导师，都是心理健康大厦的不同“支柱”。

❤️心理健康不只是“医疗治病”更包括“预防”和“成长”。
