Over the last century, selective breeding has significantly altered the Bull Terrier's anatomy. Early 1900s Bull Terriers had proportionate skulls, lean bodies, and long legs—traits suited for agility and function. Modern Bull Terriers, bred for show standards, now display an arched "egg-shaped" skull, shortened snout, thicker neck, deep chest, and a stockier build. These changes, driven by aesthetic preferences, have introduced health issues like dental misalignments, breathing difficulties, and skeletal stress. The transformation is a clear example of how human-directed breeding can reshape a species' biology, often at the cost of functionality and health.

So grateful to have such advance treatment for dogs with heart condition finally available in Malaysia 🇲🇾

To raise awareness among dog owners, Malaysia’s leading Mandarin newspaper, Sin Chew Daily, recently featured our breakthrough V-Clamp surgery for dogs with myxomatous mitral valve disease, the most common acquired heart condition in dogs, as well as interventional therapy for puppies with patent ductus arteriosus, the most common congenital heart defect.

It is the most common acquired heart disease in older small and medium-sized dogs.

It’s the most commonly seen congenital heart disease in dogs.

Interventional therapy involves closing the PDA with a device via catheter without the need for open chest surgery.

Benefits of interventional therapy:
✅ Less invasive - most dogs can be sent home the next day of surgery
✅ Less risk associated with ductal rupture caused by surgical manipulation

The Hardship of Responsible Pet 🐶 Owners in Malaysia 💔

Being a pet owner in Malaysia—especially for those with large dog breeds—is already an uphill battle. With limited pet-friendly spaces, strict regulations, and the lack of proper infrastructure, responsible owners struggle daily just to provide their dogs with basic outdoor exercise.

For large breed owners, the challenge is even greater. Unlike small dogs, big dogs cannot be carried and need proper walking space. Yet, time and time again, irresponsible small breed owners ruin it for everyone by letting their dogs off-leash in public areas, ignoring rules, and causing discomfort to others.

When these actions lead to complaints or incidents, the result is often blanket BANS ON ALL DOGS —punishing responsible owners who follow the rules. We’ve seen it happen too often: parks, beaches, and walking areas that were once pet-friendly suddenly closing their doors to all dogs due to a few careless individuals.

To all pet owners:
✔️ Keep your dogs on a leash—it’s for their safety and others’.
✔️ Respect shared spaces—not everyone is comfortable around dogs.
✔️ Be responsible—don’t take pet-friendly privileges for granted!

The more we show that pet owners can be respectful and considerate, the better chance we have at keeping spaces open for our furry companions. Let’s not let a few irresponsible actions ruin it for everyone! 🐾

皮蛋剛來家裡的時候，因為布布已經年紀很大了，我秉持著～只要必需營養充足的條件下，布布愛吃的什麼都好的原則，讓布布吃很多其實沒有那麼健康的食物～

皮蛋看到姊姊可以吃那麼多好吃的，當然也會很想吃，結果就開始「很認真地挑食」，不給他吃到他想吃的食物就不肯吃飯⋯⋯

剛開始看到皮蛋不吃很擔心，我又掉進了之前養皮皮的習慣，買各種可能會幫助進食的東西，甚至連凍乾肉都用上了～

後來，我越想越不對勁，這樣不是從小培養「挑食大王」的道路嗎？而且我明明看過那麼多「挑食大王」的飼主痛苦地來找我幫忙，我自己怎麼也掉到同一個陷阱裡了呢？

所以我改正了態度，不順著皮蛋想吃什麼，照著我覺得他應該吃什麼，就給什麼的原則，不吃拉倒⋯⋯

他不吃就不吃，帶他出門散步、在家裏玩我丟他撿…..就發現他餓了自己就會吃飯了，然後我會在他吃完飯大大稱讚一番，再給一點小點心嘉獎！

現在的他連飼料上撒中藥都能吃得香噴噴的！如果不吃，我也不用擔心，因為代表他不夠餓，多陪他玩一下餓了自然而然就會吃了！

毛孩挑食會造成很多健康的問題，尤其是如果我們依照他們的喜好完全不考慮營養與健康的時候，食物就會變成疾病的根源！所以我說～挑食是病，得治！

但是毛孩挑食的主要問題就是「我們的態度跟做法」，毛孩只是照著我們的反應來測試我們的底線在哪而已～

如果，你真的想要改善毛孩的挑食，那就從「什麼樣的食物是對他們健康有幫助的？」、「什麼食物吃多了不健康的？」這兩個問題下手，然後幫他們選擇合適的食物，然後堅持+放輕鬆！

嚴重的毛孩可能需要幾個月，正常的情況2個禮拜之內甚至幾天就會看到妥協乖乖吃飯的毛孩了！

挑食並不是營養也不是食物的問題，是飼主的「心態問題」，如果你愛他，那就趕快加入我們的矯正心態行列吧！看到什麼都吃得很香的毛孩，你會感謝自己的😍
