Your menstrual cycle isn’t just about periods or pregnancy.

It’s one of the clearest ways your body communicates with you.

Tracking your cycle helps you notice patterns, changes, and early signs that something may need attention at any age.

This is about understanding your body, not putting pressure on it.

Save this post for future reference.✨

Periods are not a burden to tolerate.

They’re one of the clearest ways your body communicates with you.

Dr. Gan shares why tracking your period matters, what’s considered normal, and when it’s time to seek help , especially when periods start disrupting your life.

Listen early. Care comes easier that way. 🌸

One of the most meaningful parts of being a doctor is mentoring the next generation.

I had the privilege of having a 3rd year medical student from IMU shadow me, from clinic consultations to ward rounds and OT.

Watching young doctors grow in confidence, ask questions, and find their footing in medicine is always an honour.

Teaching isn’t just about sharing knowledge, it’s about creating space for growth, guidance, and encouragement.

Wishing her all the best as she continues her journey in medicine. ❤️

This season often reminds us to give more, show up more, and care for everyone else.

But caring for yourself is not a luxury.
It’s how you stay present, patient, and well.

Let love include you too.

Many women don’t collapse when they’re tired. They keep going.

The body doesn’t always shout. Sometimes it whispers through small changes we learn to ignore.

Here are a few quiet ways your body might be asking for rest.

Take a moment. Notice what feels familiar.
Swipe, then slow down. ✨

Many women learn to live with pain quietly.
We carry on. We cope. We tell ourselves it’s normal.

But pain is not a personality trait.
It is a signal that deserves attention.

Throwback to a meaningful session in 2025

Last year, Dr. Gan had the privilege of speaking with young girls about puberty, health, and self-care in a safe and supportive space.

Through her talk, “Supporting Girls Through a New Chapter”, she shared guidance, reassurance, and practical knowledge to help them navigate this important stage with confidence.

Conversations like these matter because when girls understand their bodies, they grow with strength, clarity, and self-respect. 💜

It is with deep appreciation that I accept the role as 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, while continuing to serve as 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐂𝐈 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚.

This journey is not about titles, but about responsibility to lead with integrity, compassion, and purpose. Thank you to JCI Pearl for the trust and for the shared commitment to grow, serve, and inspire. 💜

We often get used to pushing through discomfort.

Tiredness, pain, changes in our cycle, we tell ourselves it’s nothing, or that we’re just being 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘫𝘢.

But your body doesn’t speak without reason. Symptoms are often its way of asking for attention, not something to ignore.

If something feels different or off, you don’t have to sit with the worry alone.
