极乐寺亮灯仪式 𝐊𝐞𝐤 𝐋𝐨𝐤 𝐒𝐢 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐔𝐩 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲🎆✨

日前，我参与了第46届极乐寺亮灯仪式。亮灯仪式这个传统已经在槟城延续了四十六年，每年新年前夕，极乐寺都会点亮万盏光明灯，为新的一年揭开序幕。

灯饰中融入生肖与新春祥瑞等传统文化元素，让人感受到节庆的喜悦之外，更能体会文化传承的厚度。

这个仪式不仅是视觉上的盛宴，也是一种社区和人心的温度。每一盏灯都像是在提醒人们，把希望和善意传递下去。

光明灯将持续开放至正月二十七（3月15日），每晚7:30 – 午夜12时。可以找一个夜晚来走走，看看灯光，也感受新年的气息！🧧

I had the chance to join the 46th Kek Lok Si Light-Up Ceremony this year. This tradition has been part of Penang’s New Year celebrations for 46 years, with thousands of lights illuminating the temple every New Year’s Eve to mark the start of a new year.

The decorations blend zodiac motifs and other New Year symbols, creating more than just a festive display - they carry the weight of tradition and the continuity of culture.

The ceremony is not only a visual spectacle but also a reminder of community and connection. Each light feels like a quiet nudge to share hope and kindness, spreading warmth from one heart to another.

The lights are open to the public until March 15, from 7:30 PM to 12 AM. Take an evening to stroll through, enjoy the glow, and soak in the New Year vibes! 🧧

新春走访 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫🐎🧨

为了欢庆马年新春，我与国会议员YB蓝卡巴星一起到爱莲园、爱莲玉和青草岭和居民们分享新春的气氛。

今年不只送年柑，我也特别准备了“马上发财”和“马到功成”的春联，作为送给大家的一点心意和祝福。希望大家把这份好意头带进新的一年，事事顺利，努力都有收获。

新年已经来到初二，在这里继续祝大家新年快乐。愿大家在新的一年身体健康、家庭幸福，和家人朋友一起珍惜团聚的时光，也祝愿我们的社区在新的一年继续充满活力与温暖😊

Ahead of the Year of the Horse, I visited Island Glades, Island Park and Greenlane Heights with YB Ramkarpal Singh to spread CNY cheer with residents.

Besides sharing mandarin oranges, we also prepared festive couplets carrying wishes for prosperity and success in the coming year. It was a joy catching up with residents and sharing these simple festive moments together.

Now that we are into the second day of Chinese New Year, I would like to continue wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year. May the days ahead bring good health, happiness and meaningful time with your loved ones, and may our community continue to thrive in the year ahead.

斯里德里玛亮灯仪式 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐔𝐩 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞🏮✨

昨晚，斯里德里玛一年一度的新春亮灯仪式顺利举行，雨天也没阻挡大家迎接新年的喜悦。

今年我们一共挂上约一千盏灯笼，其中650盏由DS Asia赞助，沿着州清真寺路 (Jalan Masjid Negeri) 主要路段延伸约800米，让每一位经过的人都能感受到浓浓的年味。在国州议员的支持下，斯里德里玛上千盏灯笼，把整个社区点缀得格外喜庆。

和往年不同的是，今年我们也把灯笼带进公园和住宅区，希望佳节的温暖能走进大家的日常生活。

我也借此机会向嘉宾们分享我的《选区成果报告册》，一本细细记录着这一年来为社区服务与发展的点滴。

尽管当晚下着大雨，仍有许多嘉宾和居民到场支持，让这个夜晚显得格外感动。

再次感谢DS Asia Group多年来对斯里德里玛的支持，也希望未来继续携手，把社区建设得越来越好！🎉

Last night, we celebrated Seri Delima’s annual Chinese New Year lantern light-up, officially bringing the festive spirit to our community.

This year, we put up around 1,000 lanterns, with 650 generously sponsored by DS Asia Group. They stretch about 800 meters along Jalan Masjid Negeri, making every passerby feel the joy of the season. With the support of our state and parliamentary reps, the lanterns lit up the entire neighborhood, adding extra cheer.

For the first time, we also brought lanterns into parks and residential areas, hoping to share the warmth of the festival right into people’s daily lives.

I also had the chance to present my Constituency Report Card to our VIPs, documenting all the work we’ve done over the past year to serve and develop our community.

Despite the rain, many residents and guests came out to join us, making the night truly special and full of heart.

A heartfelt thank you to DS Asia Group for their continued support. Together, we look forward to making our community even brighter and stronger! 🎉

今年情人节没有玫瑰花，却收到了更特别的礼物 ，就是收到住在我选区的国宝级画家拿督陈昌孔老师亲笔赠送的《紫运东来》。

94岁高龄的老师还知道我的新年歌，真的让我又惊又喜，也非常感动，感觉自己被长辈默默关注着 😊

谢谢老师的鼓励与祝福，愿老师身体安康、创作不断，让更多人感受艺术的力量❤️❤️❤️

This Valentine’s Day, no roses haha but I received an even more meaningful gift: a personal artwork titled “Zi Yun D**g Lai”, graciously presented by my resident, Penang’s national treasure artist, Dato’ Tan Chiang Kiong.

At 94 years old, teacher even knew about my Chinese New Year song. I was truly surprised, touched, and felt quietly encouraged by a respected elder 😊

温暖迎新年 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐭𝐡🧧

今年，我们依旧延续这份小小的传统，把团圆饭的年菜送到居民手中。这已经是我们第三次举办这项活动。今年一共准备了100份年菜，比去年多50份，希望能让更多家庭在新年前夕，感受到节日的温度与社区的关怀。

农历新年象征新的开始，也是家人团聚、共享一桌热饭的时刻。或许只是一份简单的饭菜，但承载着我真诚的祝福，希望大家都能吃得开心，与家人安心迎接新的一年❤️

活动上，我也和居民们分享了今年为斯里德里玛准备的一系列新年心意，包括新年歌、新春灯笼和新春购物券。希望这一连串的新春活动，不只是带来节日气氛，也让大家更深刻感受到社区之间的温暖与彼此的陪伴。

在忙碌的生活里，这样的相聚显得格外珍贵。愿这份小小心意，为每个家庭带来一丝温暖与笑声，让新的一年从关怀与陪伴开始。祝大家新年快乐，健康平安，万事如意🎊🍊

On the eve of Chinese New Year, we continued a tradition that has become very close to our hearts by delivering reunion dinner meals to residents. This marks the third year of the initiative, and this time we prepared 100 sets, 50 more than last year, so that more families could share in the festive joy.

Chinese New Year is about new beginnings and the simple happiness of sitting down with loved ones over a warm meal. While the dishes may be modest, they come with heartfelt wishes for every family to celebrate comfortably and step into the new year with peace and happiness❤️

I also had the chance to share with residents some of the New Year gifts for Seri Delima, including CNY song, lantern decorations, and shopping vouchers. Through these efforts, we hope to brighten the celebrations and strengthen the sense of care and connection within the community.

In our fast paced routines, moments of togetherness like these are especially meaningful. May this small gesture bring warmth and smiles to every home, and may the year ahead be filled with good health, joy, and prosperity for all🎊

Baru-baru ini, saya bersama YB Ramkarpal Singh telah ke Taman Tun Sardon untuk menyampaikan sumbangan hamper kepada para penduduk, khususnya untuk keluarga B40.

Sempena sambutan Tahun Baru Cina tahun ini, sebanyak 100 hamper telah diagihkan sebagai tanda ingatan dan sokongan kepada masyarakat setempat.

Perayaan adalah tentang kebersamaan, harapan dan permulaan baharu. Semoga setiap keluarga dapat menyambut Tahun Baru Cina dengan hati yang tenang, penuh kegembiraan dan semangat yang diperbaharui.
