One of my patients came in looking frustrated:
“Doctor, my lower back hurts again, but I didn’t even lift anything heavy!”
After checking, I found her muscles were tight like ropes.
When I asked about her water intake—she said she only drinks two cups a day.
😅 “I’m not thirsty, tea counts as water, right?”
Actually… when your body is dehydrated,
your muscles lose their natural flexibility and lubrication,
just like a dried-out rubber band — easily strained, inflamed, and slow to recover.
Some people even think it’s their “old injury coming back”,
but the truth is — too little water + slow metabolism
= inflammation that just won’t go away.
So here’s a simple rule:
👉 Drink at least your body weight (kg) × 35ml of plain water daily.
Especially if you often have neck, shoulder, or lower back pain —
don’t underestimate how much relief a single glass of water can bring. 💦
那天一个阿姨走进来,一脸无奈地说:“肥仔医师,我的腰又开始痛了,我都没有搬重的东西啊…”
检查后我发现她的肌肉紧到像绳子一样。
结果一问——她每天只喝两杯水。
😅 “我又没口渴,喝茶不也一样咩?”
其实身体缺水时,肌肉的“润滑度”会下降,
就像干掉的橡皮筋,容易拉伤、发炎、疼痛也更难恢复。
最夸张的是,有些人以为是“老毛病复发”,
结果只是——喝太少水 + 代谢太慢,
让体内废物堆积、肌肉发炎迟迟不退。
所以啊,
每天至少要喝到体重 x 35ml的水,
尤其是颈、肩、腰痛的朋友,
别小看那一口水,它真的能救你一身酸痛。
