Did you know hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is very common in young kids?
Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a viral infection that causes a distinctive red rash with blisters on the hands, feet, and mouth. It's very contagious and usually affects children under 5 years old. Symptoms include fever, sore throat, and those tell-tale red spots.
While it may look unpleasant, hand, foot, and mouth disease is generally mild and goes away on its own in 7-10 days. But we always recommend getting it checked out, especially for infants and toddlers, to rule out any complications.
Our doctors at Klinik Alpha have a wealth of experience treating hand, foot, and mouth disease. We'll make sure your little one is comfortable and gets the right treatment.
Have you or your child ever dealt with this common childhood illness? If you have any other questions, our friendly team is always here to help.
