Stroke doesn’t only affect the arm — many patients also struggle to straighten their knee, and this affects their balance and walking.
When the knee can’t straighten well, the body starts to compensate by using the hip or back, making movement harder and less efficient.
With regular physiotherapy and focused training, this patient has been slowly improving her knee straightening over the past few sessions.
It may look like a small change, but in stroke recovery, every bit of movement counts.
Recovery takes time, but progress is always possible.
If you or someone you know needs stroke rehab support, we’re here to help. 💪😊
