β¨ After Several Setbacks, Hope Found Its Way Again β¨
This lovely couple first underwent IVF in 2018 and were blessed with twins β a joyful beginning to their parenthood journey.
Now at 38 years old, her path to another pregnancy has been far from easy.
They later underwent three successive frozen embryo transfers:
β’ The first in 2023 resulted in a pregnancy but sadly ended in an early first trimester miscarriage
β’ The second, later in 2023, ended in a biochemical pregnancy
β’ The third in 2024 again resulted in a biochemical pregnancy
After repeated disappointment, they were left with only two remaining blastocysts β graded B and C.
This time, we carefully reviewed their journey and made important adjustments to the transfer strategy and post-transfer support. Despite the remaining embryos not being top grade, one implanted successfully.
Today, she is now 12 weeks pregnant and progressing well. π
As they are from Sungai Petani, Kedah, they will continue their antenatal follow-up and delivery closer to home. Wishing them a smooth and healthy pregnancy journey ahead.
A few important learning points from their story:
β A previous miscarriage or biochemical pregnancy does not mean future attempts will fail
β Embryo grade matters, but lower-grade embryos can still lead to healthy pregnancies
β Sometimes subtle treatment adjustments can make an important difference
β Persistence and individualized care remain central in fertility treatment
Stories like this remind us that even after several setbacks, hope should never be dismissed. πΏ
