Do you have osteoporosis? Thin bones can increase your risk of fractures. Keeping your bones healthy can help reduce the chance of fractures

Most fragility fractures occur in patients without osteoporosis. Should we rethink who gets treated? And could just one or two IV infusions (spread years apart) of zoledronate prevent fractures for years? Have the concerns about bisphosphonates been overblown?

I was having breakfast and came across an old card of a patient of mine. My heart ❤️ feels full and satisfied to have been part of her life journey. Her first pregnancy ended up in a miscarriage. The second - she had a beautiful healthy baby. I wanted to thank you and all my patients for putting your faith and trust in me. I am honoured to be part of your special moments in life!

RSV vaccine in pregnancy can prevent infection in newborns. It is known as ABRYSVO. It is not available yet in Malaysia but watch this space! Mother’s can have the vaccine in their 32-36weeks of pregnancy.

On this day 2 years ago, the MATISSE study showed the safety and efficacy of the RSV vaccine during pregnancy. This and a similar newborn vaccine can prevent infant RSV disease. Revisit the study: https://nej.md/3Mc1hmg

RSV is the first vaccine added to routine childhood immunizations since the HPV vaccine, which NEJM also published on in 2007.

Meet Dr See

I am Dr Alexandriia See and am an O&G Specialist at Gleneagles Hospital, Johor. I am originally Malaysian but have lived abroad since the age of 12. My dad’s career and my education brought me to experience life in China, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and Singapore.

I read medicine in London and completed my Specialist training in the United Kingdom. I have also completed a Clinical Leadership and Management Programme with Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. I further pursued my subspecialty training in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Robotic Surgery in Singapore and Seoul, Korea.
