Just like a tree remains grounded amidst the sway of the wind, we too can find our center amidst life’s fluctuations.

Let’s delve into the full expression of Hanumanasana, or monkey pose! This powerful front split requires dedication and mindful practice. (Remember Patanjali’s injunction from the Yoga Sutra: Sthira Sukham Asanam, “Asana should be steady and comfortable.”) Once your hips, shoulders, and groin are sufficiently open:

Start by kneeling on all fours, then gracefully transition into the pose, supporting your body as needed with blocks or props. Honor your body’s unique journey and avoid pushing beyond your limits. Modifications are always available to make the practice accessible to everyone.

Reflect on your experience in the asana. Where do you find strength, and where do you find ease? Embrace imperfection and honor your own journey, rather than comparing yourself to others.

As we embody the spirit of Hanuman today, let’s remember the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita- offering our best efforts while surrendering the outcome to a higher power. Let our practice be guided by devotion and service, just as Hanuman’s leaps were fueled by love for Rama. 🌟

As we stand on the threshold of a new year, here are some yogic insights I would like to share for a successful, healthy and fulfilling New Year -

✨ Find happiness within through yoga practice.
✨ Inner peace leads to outer peace; be the change you wish to see.
✨ Trust that everything happens for a reason; understanding unfolds in time.
✨ Cultivate courage, confidence, and happiness while overcoming fears.
✨ Embrace self-acceptance and respect for positive changes in yourself and others.
✨ Let go of the past, live in the present, where all possibilities exist.
✨ Wise choices align with maximum good and less harm, bringing you closer to inner Truth.
✨ Detachment is gaining yourself, not losing something.
✨ Free yourself from fear by enjoying without attachment.
✨ True freedom requires self-discipline.
✨ Daily practice of yogasanas move prana and alleviate stress.
✨ Pranayama brings balance and renewal; feel subtly, not just sensually.
✨ Daily meditation forms a habit of turning inward and offers a mental break.
✨ Replace doubts with the company of those without doubts (satsanga).
✨ Beware of Kusanga, bad company, which includes excessive social media and endless chatter.
✨ Keep your mind focused on the goal of Self Realization.
