Bersempena bulan Ramadan yang penuh keberkatan, Johor Specialist Hospital telah menganjurkan program edaran Bubur Lambuk "Semarak Ramadan, Syawal Dinanti”, yang menghimpunkan warga kerja dalam semangat gotong-royong dan kebersamaan.

Inisiatif ini merupakan sebahagian daripada komitmen berterusan hospital dalam tanggungjawab sosial korporat (CSR), di mana kakitangan berganding bahu menyediakan serta mengagihkan bubur lambuk kepada komuniti setempat. Majlis Berbuka Puasa Hospital Pakar KPJ Wilayah Selatan telah berlangsung di Glasshouse Ladang X, Sunway Iskandar pada 16 Mac 2026 dengan kehadiran barisan kepimpinan JCorp dan KPJ Healthcare.

Tetamu kehormat YBhg. Datuk Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim, Presiden & Ketua Eksekutif JCorp bersama YBhg. Datin Zaidah Zakaria, Pengerusi Mutiara JCorp.

Turut hadir ialah Mr. Chin Keat Chyuan, Presiden & Pengarah Urusan KPJ Healthcare Berhad, diiringi oleh Datuk Mohamad Farid Salim, Ketua Pegawai Operasi KPJ Healthcare Berhad serta Puan Maisarah Omar, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif KPJ Wilayah Selatan.

Dalam majlis tersebut, sumbangan zakat berjumlah RM1.388 juta telah disampaikan oleh hospital-hospital KPJ di Wilayah Selatan, iaitu Johor Specialist Hospital (RM420,000), Puteri Specialist Hospital (RM420,000), KPJ Pasir Gudang Specialist Hospital (RM348,000), KPJ Kluang Specialist Hospital (RM100,000) dan KPJ Bandar Maharani Specialist Hospital (RM100,000).

Johor Specialist Hospital was honoured to host a special Iftar networking at Amari Johor Bahru, bringing together our valued corporate partners, General Practitioners, and insurance partners for an evening of meaningful connections and knowledge sharing.

The programme featured insightful Health Talks by Dr. Natasha Mohd Hashim, Consultant Oncologist, and Dr. Eric Ee Lik Wee, Consultant Nephrologist, who shared valuable medical perspectives with our healthcare community.

Glaucoma is known as the Silent Thief of Sight. 👁️
It slowly damages the optic nerve and can cause permanent vision loss without early warning signs. Many people only realise something is wrong when vision has already been affected.

Johor Specialist Hospital (JSH) has successfully performed its first Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS) Coronary procedure, marking an important milestone in advancing cardiac care within the KPJ Healthcare Southern Region.

Unlike conventional bypass surgery, which requires splitting the breastbone, MICS Coronary is performed through a small incision on the left chest without dividing the sternum, allowing patients to benefit from less pain, faster recovery, and a shorter hospital stay.

The procedure was performed by the JSH Cardiac Surgery Team led by Dr Syed Mohd Adeeb Syed Jalaludin and Dr Wong Teck Fui, with mentorship support from Prof Dr Shahrul Amry Hashim and the Damansara Specialist Hospital 2 team.

This advancement allows patients in the southern region to access advanced minimally invasive heart surgery closer to home.

This milestone reflects Johor Specialist Hospital’s ongoing commitment to strengthening specialised cardiac care and developing a Heart & Lung Centre of Excellence.
