🌷 To The Moms Who Never Give Up

妈妈都曾是怀揣少女梦的女孩，
后来成为了孩子最温柔、最坚定的依靠。

谢谢妳，
在无数疲惫与担忧里，
依然选择用爱陪伴孩子慢慢成长。

愿妳偶尔也记得，
好好拥抱那个努力了很久的自己。

🌱 Flyingkids 每年4月 IEP会议 📊
2025年，YT4岁，他有非常明显的固执行为（RRBs）。
在他的学习与生活适应过程中，我们观察到他在面对“流程改变”时，会需要较多时间来调整自己。当熟悉的步骤被打乱时，他往往会希望“重新来过”，以恢复原有的秩序感。
在学校情境中，较常见的情况是在“戒尿片”和“使用马桶小便”的学习过程中出现卡住。当如厕流程与他的预期不一致时，YT会在厕所出现哭闹，并表现出较强的情绪反应。他需要较长的时间去安定情绪，之后才能重新准备回到活动中。
在情绪较强烈的情况下，有时哭闹时间会超过1小时。甚至曾经有一次，情绪持续接近3小时。由于担心妈妈驾驶安全，我们当时陪同妈妈一起送YT回家。
在日常支持中，YT的班导师非常理解他的需求，并在不同活动中逐步引导他进行细微的调整，让他在可预测与安全的环境中慢慢建立弹性。通过一天天稳定而持续的input，他的适应能力也在慢慢累积中成长。

直到今年的会议，我们和家长都观察到YT有了很明显的改变。
例如，现在的YT，即使玩具的排列被打乱，他也可以尝试慢慢调整自己，重新整理，而不再像过去那样直接出现强烈的情绪反应。
爸爸妈妈也分享，下个月会带他出国旅行。
这是一个很好的新体验，也是一段重要的生活练习机会。
真的很为他们感到开心，也祝福这趟旅程一切顺利 ✨

RRBs（重复与固执行为），其实是每一位自闭症孩子都会出现的表现，只是强度与形式不同。
在与孩子相处的过程中，老师需要不断去观察：
👉 孩子的“卡点”在哪里？
👉 他坚持的，是“顺序”？“方式”？还是“感觉”？
如果没有理解背后的原因，而是用强硬方式去阻止，往往只会带来更大的焦虑，甚至升级为情绪爆发。
因此，我们的做法是——先理解，再引导改变。
RRBs的应对方法：
1️⃣ 先理解，再调整（Understand before change）
• 观察孩子坚持的具体点（顺序 / 物品 / 动作）
• 分辨这是“需要”还是“习惯”
2️⃣ 在可接受范围内做“微改变”
• 不一次改变全部流程
• 从一个小步骤开始
• 让孩子慢慢经验到“改变是安全的”
3️⃣ 使用过渡提示（Transition support）
• “再做一次就结束”
• “还有2分钟就要离开了”
4️⃣ 保持一致（Consistency）
• 学校与家庭使用相同策略
• 减少不同环境带来的混乱

从“无法接受改变”，到“可以慢慢调整”，
YT的进步提醒我们——
真正的目标，不是消除RRBs，而是陪孩子学会面对变化。 🌱

📱AAC in the Classroom Workshop📱

在这个 workshop 中，我们学习了 Aided Language Input 的重要概念。其实，这就像学习语言一样，需要将AAC完全融入孩子的日常生活中。

It is about using the student’s AAC system in front of them to model language, without requiring an immediate response. Language learning happens through immersion—this is how humans naturally acquire language.

在课堂中使用学生的AAC系统来进行语言示范，而不是要求孩子马上回应。语言的习得来自持续的输入与沉浸式环境，这也是人类学习语言的自然方式。
我们过去多以 PECS 为主要沟通系统，必须要逐步进入 AAC 的沟通模式转型阶段。

We are now moving from PECS towards a more robust AAC approach, embedded within the school system. This means we will need to continue upgrading our skills in order to support children’s communication development more effectively.
AAC will be embedded into our school system, and as educators, we continue to equip ourselves with new skills to support our students’ progress.

为了孩子的进步，老师们也需要不断学习与提升新的技能，一起为孩子创造更好的沟通机会。

With beautiful and thoughtful decorations, the festive atmosphere was truly heartwarming.

What did our teachers do over the weekend? 🌿

All Flyingkids teachers successfully completed the Hanen Teacher Talk™ Training A: Encouraging Language Development in Early Childhood Settings.
A big thank you to Rx Speech Ms Connie for the engaging, insightful, and professional sharing.

We learned how to support children in moving from attending to participating by following their lead, joining their play, and gradually expanding interactions. These simple yet intentional strategies help create more meaningful and purposeful communication opportunities.

We look forward to applying these strategies in our daily practice to better support our children’s interaction and language development. ✨

🌙✨ Raya Celebration at Flying Kids HorizonJB 🌙✨

Our little ones from different classes and levels had a wonderful time experiencing Malay culture! From tasty treats to fun games and beautiful decorations, the joy was everywhere.

We wish our colleagues, parents, and families celebrating Raya a Selamat Hari Raya filled with happiness, laughter, and togetherness. 💛

And the celebration doesn’t stop here! Even after school resumes, our branches will continue to enjoy the spirit of Raya—because one week is never enough! 🎉

感谢所有家庭的参与与支持！
看到孩子们开心地玩游戏、收集贴纸，许多家长也分享孩子们非常 enjoy 今天的活动 💛

还有孩子跑来跟老师说：
“I love this! Can FlyingKids do this carnival every year?”

老师们虽然忙了一整天、有点累，但看到孩子们的笑容，成就感满满。老师也回馈很喜欢这种让孩子自由探索、尽情玩乐的活动模式。

It was so lovely to see the children happily playing the games and collecting stickers. Many parents also shared that their children really enjoyed the day 💛

One child even told a teacher:

Our teachers were definitely tired after a long day, but seeing the children’s smiles made it all worth it.
Everyone also loved this kind of activity where children could freely explore and simply enjoy playing.
