Single people and those with lower educational attainment and income were among the groups with lower odds, according to a recent analysis of US trends.

The implications of these disparities are far-reaching, as patients who are less likely to obtain regular eye care due to sociodemographic barriers are at an increased risk of late diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions, which can lead to irreversible visual impairment or blindness.

眼睛是孩子心灵的窗户，每一位家长都希望自己的孩子拥有一双明亮的双眼。

但是，现代人生活节奏快，工作和学习压力大，特别是儿童，总免不了面对各种屏幕和书籍，造成眼睛负荷过重，出现视力下降等症状。

而如今在疫情下，线上课程更是成了儿童患上近视的催化剂。

世界卫生组织公布的数据显示，目前全世界约有1.24亿人视力低下，而无节制使用电子产品就是原因之一。

家长们帮助孩子护眼，让他们从小注意眼部健康，但是信息化时代，不让孩子使用电子产品很难办到。

大家或许知道太阳紫外线透过眼睛时主要被眼角膜和晶体所吸收，但电子产品所散发的蓝光却能穿越眼睛晶体到达眼底视网膜。

孩子们最容易接触有害的蓝光，因为他们具有较大的瞳孔直径，比较少的黄斑色素浓度。蓝光达到视网膜的量为65%，成人则是40%。(Behar-Cohen et al., 2015)

这也许是为什么在配戴眼镜时选择防紫外线、蓝光镜片及其它种类的防护或个性化镜片的过程极为重要，除了配对正确的视力度数及了解眼睛最新的健康情况。
