Whole Body Experience!

45 minutes of active sensorimotor activity.

It's been a while since we updated about therapy sessions at the centre. The therapists recently requested a new lycra top-up. Amazingly, after three years of heavy use, the old lycra has only just started to lose its elasticity. We often change how it's hung to suit each client’s needs.

From initially being too scared to sit on the platform swing, some kids are now climbing and exploring, even trying to reach the beam.Once the fear subsides, emotional regulation improves significantly.

The vestibular system and emotions are definitely connected. Addressing these issues leads to notable improvements in regulation and modulation. Providing plenty of proprioceptive activities also helps calm the nervous system.

Equipment truly facilitates progress, and our all-time favourite is, of course, the lycra swing!

Today, we gathered to bid farewell to our amazing OT, Laura, after three wonderful years of service since 2022. It’s a bittersweet moment, as we feel a heavy heart seeing her leave, but we’re also excited for her next chapter in Penang.

Thank you, Laura, for your dedication, passion, and the impact you’ve made on so many lives. You’ll always have a special place in the Playmove family.

Dear all clients,

Due to unforeseen circumstances caused by heavy rain, including significant water leakage, the center will remain closed until further notice.

We have had to make a sudden and immediate decision to cancel all sessions on Friday, 22nd November, and Saturday, 23rd November, to allow for cleaning and maintenance work.

The safety of everyone is our priority, and we are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. We will provide updates on the reopening timeline soon.
Any further information regarding replacement sessions will be informed later.

Day 2 ✅ Checked

We had an incredible day as we started to organize and practice with all our EASI materials. We learned and practiced 9 out of the 20 subtests yesterday.

Dr. Zoe provided excellent clinical reasoning behind each subtest in the Evaluation of Ayres Sensory Integration. Not only did we learn how to administer the tests in EASI, but we also gained a deeper understanding of why we should administer those tests.

Dr Zoe also teach us how to look into patterns of sensory Integration function using the Assessment Interpretation Tools Table.

We realized that many of us could have done a better job gathering comprehensive assessment data to guide our interventions. As we move into the second day, we're becoming more passionate about what we do. We've also gotten closer as a group and had the chance to get to know each other better.

We are thrilled to have 29 dedicated participants joining us, all eager to expand their knowledge and skills in sensory integration.

A huge thank you to Dr.Zoe Mailloux for sharing her incredible expertise and insights. We're so grateful for the opportunity to learn from one of the best in the field.

We have been privileged to host sensory integration workshops for nearly four years now. This is our second time hosting Module 3, with the previous occasion being a hybrid session in 2022. We are proud to continue providing this platform for learning and growth within our community.

Looking forward to Day 2 and all the valuable learning ahead!
