紫苏，别名：赤苏。具有特异的芳香。是地球上最古老的草本。种植有2000多年历史。其叶、梗、果均可入药。

《本草汇言》称：紫苏有“散寒气、清肺气、宽中气、安胎气、下诸气、化痰气”。紫苏具有药食同源的安全性；近代紫苏因其特有的活性物质，倍受世界关
注。

油液成分
✦亚麻油酸约60%：主要为α-亚麻酸

✦亚油酸12%~13%

✦脂肪伴随物质约0.4%-1.5%

功效&用法
紫苏种子出的油称为紫苏籽油，具有紫苏的香气，无芥酸等有害成分，是一种优质保健食用油，具有极高的药用价值。

紫苏籽油一共含有11种脂肪酸，其中最核心的成分就是omega-3系脂肪酸中的α-亚麻酸，到达百60%~68%之间，比亚麻油中α-亚麻酸还要高。其中一部分的α-亚麻酸会转变成为EPA与DHA。

此外，超临界萃取的紫苏籽油还富含酚酸，植物甾醇，类黄酮，萜类化合物，还有一些系列丰富的脂肪伴随物质。紫苏自古就被称为“返老还童”的植物。

α-亚麻酸是人体必需的脂肪酸，不能自身合成，只能从外界摄取。DHA是生命活性因子，是生命能量供生命活动所用。好比汽油是汽车必需能量一样。EPA医学名称叫前列环素，也叫血栓素，可以扩张血管，抑制血小板凝集，促进人体血流，阻止血管收缩。
DHA和EPA是胎婴儿成长的必需物质，是大脑细胞的主要组成成份，是构成脑磷脂，脑细胞的基础，对大脑细胞的分裂、增殖、神经传导突触树突的生长和发育起着极为重要的作用，是大脑形成和智商开发的必需物质。

它对视觉，大脑活动，脂肪代谢，胎儿生长及免疫功能都有极大影响，缺乏时胎儿会产生“脑饥饿”胎儿脑细胞就长不够数量，细胞体积也小，质量也低劣。

紫苏籽油的吃法
❖每天清晨晚上空腹饮用一汤匙（约5~10ml）紫苏籽油，长期食用有明显的防治便秘、降三高、美容养颜的作用。

❖紫苏籽油可用于凉拌蔬菜、调制色拉、淋在汤中或在炒菜出锅前淋入。

❖在熬好的汤粥或炒好的菜中加入几滴紫苏籽油，既美味又健康。

❖紫苏籽油可与适量花生酱、可可酱、椰酱等混匀后涂抹在面包片上食用，口感可人。
