5 Tips for Pipetting Technique to Avoid Errors:

🔬 1. Pre-wet the Tip
Aspirate and dispense the liquid 2–3 times before taking the actual sample. This reduces sample loss due to liquid adhesion on the plastic surface.

🔬 2. Use Proper Plunger Technique
Press to the first stop for aspiration
Release at the second stop for complete dispensing
Avoid pressing too fast or inconsistently, as it affects volume accuracy.

🔬 3. Hold the Pipette Vertically During Aspiration
Keep the pipette at a 90° angle when aspirating to ensure accurate volume and prevent measurement errors caused by tilting.

🔬 4. Check for Air Bubbles
After aspirating, make sure there are no bubbles inside the tip. Air bubbles can lead to inaccurate volume delivery and unreliable results.

🔬 5. Use the Correct Tip and Change Tips Between Samples
Always use compatible tips for your pipette and change tips between samples to avoid cross-contamination.

5 Tips Penggunaan Gel Electrophoresis yang Ramai Tak Tahu

1. Pastikan Gel Tak Ada Bubble
Air bubbles boleh ganggu perjalanan DNA/protein. Periksa sebelum run supaya results lebih konsisten.

2. Gunakan Loading Dye Secukupnya
Jangan terlalu banyak atau terlalu sedikit. Terlalu banyak dye boleh menyebabkan smear, terlalu sedikit susah nak nampak band.

3. Electrophoresis Voltage Sesuai
Run gel pada voltage yang betul. Too high → gel panas & band blur, too low → experiment lambat & band tak sharp.

4. Gunakan Buffer Fresh
Old atau contaminated buffer boleh beri results tak tepat. Always prepare fresh TAE/TBE buffer.

5. Visualize Band Secara Betul
UV light + gel stain mesti balance. Overexpose → band hilang, underexpose → band tak jelas.

💡 Bonus Tip: Simpan gel dalam fridge jika tak terus visualize untuk elakkan degradasi.
