🌸 Health Awareness: Don’t Ignore Prolonged Abnormal Bleeding 🌸
Recently, we saw a patient who had been experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding for several months, but she did not seek medical attention earlier — thinking it might resolve on its own.
When she finally came for consultation, further tests and a hysteroscopy were done. The biopsy results unfortunately revealed endometrial carcinoma (uterine cancer).
This is a gentle reminder to all women:
⚠ Prolonged or heavy menstrual bleeding is not normal.
⚠ Any bleeding after menopause should always be checked by a doctor.
Early medical consultation can make a huge difference. Many gyneacological conditions — including cancers — are treatable or even curable when detected early.
Please don’t delay seeking medical advice if you experience abnormal bleeding or any concerning symptoms.
