Anak berumur 6 bulan hingga 5 tahun paling berisiko alami komplikasi demam panas, termasuk sawan tarik (febrile seizure) dan dehidrasi teruk.

Apa Yang Ibu Bapa Perlu Buat?

✅ Periksa suhu secara berkala. Jika melebihi 38.5°C, berikan ubat demam mengikut dos yang betul.

✅ Kekalkan hidrasi. Bagi anak minum air, susu

✅ Lap badan dengan tuala basah. Bantu turunkan suhu secara fizikal.

✅ Pantau tingkah laku. Jika anak lesu, meracau, kejang atau kurang respon segera ke hospital.

Bila perlu bawa anak ke hospital?

‼️ Suhu melebihi 39°C yang tidak turun walau selepas ubat

‼️Anak kejang, sukar bernafas, atau tidak responsif

‼️Menangis tanpa henti atau nampak sangat lemah

‼️Tidak mahu makan/minum langsung

Demam itu bukan musuh ia tanda tubuh sedang melawan. Tapi bila terlalu panas, ia boleh mencederakan dari dalam.
