Ancestor relocation ceremony
is a traditional funeral ritual.

In the early days,
our ancestors immigrated from southern China
to then Malaya to seek their fortunes,
but unfortunately passing in a foreign land.

In order to fulfil their ancestor’s final wish
to “return home”, descendants would hire
a ritual master to choose an auspicious day
to exhume and collect the remains for transportation
back to China for reburial. There are also other reasons
for conducting this ritual, such as
relocating the remains to a more auspicious burial site
due to changes in Feng Shui
or environmental factors.

Today,
the ritual not only demonstrates
filial piety of the descendants
but also carries the hopes
bringing blessings and prosperity,
as well as honouring
and remembering their ancestors.

📍Nirvana Memorial Park (Shah Alam) | Round Up
final day of the 2024 Zhongyuan Enlightenment Ceremony

During the two days of the ceremony, the devotees, with hearts full of compassion and generosity, performed rituals and dedication prayers for the deceased, karmic debtors and creditors, and wandering spirits, accumulating immeasurable merits. After the ceremony, the volunteer group organised and loaded the sponsored goods into trucks and donated them to charitable organisations to benefit the underprivileged groups. This act not only brought warmth to the community but also provided a glimpse of hope for the underprivileged to have three warm meals.

In addition, Nirvana Asia Group also launched the "A Pack of Rice, An Act of Charity" campaign with its partner, Sin Chew Daily Metro Edition, in the seventh lunar month. This rice donation initiative received enthusiastic support from many devotees at each ceremony, with everyone acting out of kindness and goodwill, aiming to contribute a small effort to help the underprivileged.

The 2024 Zhongyuan Enlightenment Ceremony has come to an end, and we would like to conclude by attaching the highlights of today's ceremony, we will return again next year 🙏!

2024 | 📍Nirvana Memorial Park (Shah Alam) | Officially starts!

In conjunction with the National Day, everyone stood up and sang the national anthem led by the emcee to commemorate the 67th anniversary of Malaysia's independence. After the national anthem, the ceremony officially began with the peaceful chanting of sutras. The devotees chanted with devotion for the transcendence of all sentient beings in both the realms of the living and spirits, transcending the departed, and accumulating merit for the living.

In addition to the chanting and dedication rituals, Nirvana Group also took the opportunity during this "Month of Gratitude" to launch a charity event to spread love. We called on the devotees to join in caring for the underprivileged. With the initiative "A Pack of Rice, An Act of Charity," your small act of kindness could be a beacon of hope for a needy family’s meals. For every RM20 donated, we will contribute a 5kg pack of white rice on your behalf. These supplies will be distributed to charitable organizations, impoverished families, and solitary elderly individuals in the Klang Valley areas, with the assistance of our partner Sin Chew Daily Metro Edition.

Lastly, we’ve included some contemplative moments from today's ceremony, hoping these images convey the solemn atmosphere present at the scene. May the merits be dedicated to the departed, helping them find relief from suffering and attain peace. Nirvana Center Kuala Lumpur's [Zhongyuan Enlightenment Ceremony]
Day Two | Concluded ✨

A large number of devotees gathered with hearts full of kindness and compassion to dedicate merits to their departed loved ones, wandering spirits, as well as karmic debtors and creditors, together completing a virtuous and fulfilling deed.

During the "Seventh Lunar Month of Gratitude," Nirvana Group calls upon everyone to ignite goodwill and give wholeheartedly. Through the "A Pack of Rice, An Act of Charity" donation campaign, for every RM20 donation received, a 5kg pack of white rice will be donated. Partnering with Sin Chew Daily’s Metro Edition, these donations will be distributed to charitable organisations, underprivileged families, and elderly individuals without support in the Klang Valley areas. Additionally, we have set up a "Warmth for Dolls" donation area, where, with any donation amount, we will send a doll representing warmth and blessings to orphaned children, allowing them feel the care and love of the community.

Finally, the offerings, besides being dedicated as Dharma food for all beings during the ceremony, will be donated to charity organisations after the event, benefiting many. This not only warms society by ensuring that those in need have their daily meals but also showcases the boundless merits that benefit both the living and the departed.

The annual Nirvana Memorial Park (Semenyih) Zhongyuan Enlightenment Ceremony 2024 has once again commenced.

Under the guidance of Venerable Master Hui Wen and his disciples, the Kṣitigarbha Sutra was chanted on the first day of the ceremony. The Kṣitigarbha Sutra is considered the Sutra of Filial Piety among Buddhist scriptures, and is known for its simplicity and clarity, making it easier for the masses to understand the meaning of Buddhist teachings and the importance of filial piety.

During the Zhongyuan Enlightenment Ceremony, the chanting of the Kṣitigarbha Sutra serves as a way to release the departed from suffering. The living can also dedicate one-seventh of the merits from chanting to their deceased loved ones, praying for them to be swiftly liberated from suffering and find peace. Additionally, the Kṣitigarbha Sutra can help release the karmic debts of past relationships, children who passed away before their time, and wandering spirits from all directions, thereby eliminating the karmic obstacles from previous lives and freeing them from suffering.

During the Zhongyuan Enlightenment Ceremony, there are two important traditional rituals; “Zanpu (collective sponsorship and offerings)” and worshipping the Lord of Heaven.🙏🏻

“Zanpu” is a ritual offering of vegetarian meals and Dharma offering to all beings of the six realms, filled with human warmth and creating the most beautiful scene.🍳

As for worshipping the Lord of Heaven, you might wonder: is the Lord of Heaven a deity or heaven itself? In fact, the Lord of Heaven is actually the Jade Emperor who holds a significant position in folk beliefs, and we sincerely worship him in various occasions!🧐
