Columbia Asia Hospital Klang recently hosted a GP MedTalk titled “Transforming Care: Clinical Insights in Cardiovascular and Diabetes Management."

The insightful session featured two engaging topics — “Mastering the Glycaemic Triad in High-Risk T2DM” by Consultant Internal Medicine Physician & Nephrologist Dr. T. Kalaiselvam Thevandran, and “A Call to Action on Uncontrolled Hypertension” by Consultant Internal Medicine Physician & Cardiologist Dr. Kogulakrishnan Kaniappan.

The event saw an encouraging turnout, with over 40 general practitioners in attendance. Both speakers shared in-depth clinical updates, best practices, and evidence-based approaches to managing complex cardiovascular and diabetic conditions.

The session provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration between our consultants and GPs, fostering stronger partnerships to improve patient outcomes in the community.

Attendees appreciated the informative presentations and practical takeaways that could be applied in their daily practice. The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, reflecting participants’ keen interest and engagement throughout.

Columbia Asia Hospital Setapak recently brought our Columbia Kids Club (CKC) members on a special Little Hands Big Merdeka Outing at Perdana Botanical Garden. 🇲🇾🌿

The children had a fun-filled day with singing, dancing, and creative art activities, including a special Merdeka-themed bean art session. They expressed their creativity, celebrated the spirit of Merdeka, and enjoyed quality time together with friends. 🎶🎨

Columbia Asia Hospital Iskandar Puteri and Columbia Asia Hospital Tebrau were delighted to bring our Columbia Kids Club (CKC) members on an exciting trip to UK Farm, Kluang! 🚍✨

The children had a wonderful time exploring the farm and meeting animals such as deer, chickens, ducks, goats, cows, and more. They enjoyed feeding the animals, watching a live goat-milking demonstration, and later tasting the farm’s fresh goat’s milk.

The adventure continued as the kids visited the passionfruit orchard, where they learned how the fruits are grown and gained a deeper insight into farm life. To make the day even more special, they were also treated to a lively cultural performance by the Orang Asli, giving them the chance to experience something new and unique.

It was truly a day filled with fun, laughter, and discovery — a memorable outing where the children not only played but also learned about nature, animals, fruits, and culture.

🌱 Driving Impact Through Collaboration 🌱

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental Sustainability Initiative, Columbia Asia Hospital Klang organized “Cleaning the Beach, Healing the Earth” on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Pantai Remis, Jeram. This event was held in conjunction with our Environmental, Safety & Health, Infection Control, and Human Resources Open Day.

This initiative reflects our commitment not only to quality healthcare but also to the well-being of our community and the environment.

A total of 60 dedicated staff members came together to clean the beach and surrounding recreation area. After a quick 8 AM briefing, the team rolled up their sleeves — and by 10 AM, successfully collected 112.5 kg of trash, surpassing our target of 100 kg! 🧹👏

We believe that small actions, when united, can create a meaningful impact. Through this program, we aim to encourage healthier habits, raise awareness on protecting natural resources, and foster a culture of care that extends beyond our hospital walls. 💙

Together, we are building a cleaner, healthier future. 🌍✨
