In a groundbreaking move for medical care in the region, Ybhg. Dato’ Haji Abd. Hamid Bin Hussain, the mayor of Klang Royal City, officially launched a new Hybrid Operating Theatre (OT) at Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre. The ceremony, also attended by Hospital Director Madam Tan Suet Guan, Chairman Dato' Sri Dr. Nick Low, Director Datuk Wira Lim Kim Long and MAC Chairman Dr Prakash M. Chandrakanthan unveiled a state-of-the-art facility that is the first of its kind in Klang to feature the advanced Bi-Plane angiography platform.

This new Hybrid OT represents a significant leap forward in minimally invasive surgical care, seamlessly blending a conventional sterile operating environment with high-definition, real-time imaging capabilities. The Bi-Plane angiography system is at the heart of this innovation, allowing doctors to perform complex procedures with unprecedented precision.

The integration of imaging and surgery under one roof enables a streamlined workflow, significantly reducing both procedure times and the need for patient transfers. This will ultimately enhance patient safety, improve clinical outcomes, and provide a new standard of care for a wide range of interventional procedures, including those for cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, and neurovascular conditions.
